I doubt it.

no, Ramsey is just a better player.
Quote:I see myles jack as a 7th rounder to udfa. Nobody drafts a player that needs microfracture knee surgery.

How about one that already had micro fracture?

I believe Jalen Ramsey has already had micro fracture, no?

Quote:I really like Correa in this scheme. Correa, Calhoun, Spence would all be ideal. Ogbah has his risks but at this point he may very well be worth the risk. We need to go front 4/OTTO or interior OL here probably, but I do dig Ragland.

Assuming the Jaguars are seriously considering Reggie Ragland with pick # 38,  a key question seems to be what will the Jags realistic LEO and/ or OTTO options be in Round 3?    This is very hard to predict but I'm confident it's being discussed in depth today at the Jags offices.
Grab Noah Spence or Myles Jack, and this draft would be perfect.

Quote:Yeah it seems the DTs are victims of how deep the class is. Could be 8+ DTs picked in round 2.

I wonder if Karl Joseph had been the Falcons guy and once he was gone they decided to go with Neal.

Joseph may have been picked higher than people thought but I'm so jealous of the Raiders. The talent they have acquired in the last 3 years is ridiculous.

Karl Joseph could well have been the Falcons target.   Being that the Falcons have a SS need and Joseph's stock was apparently going up dramatically in the days leading to the draft,  he was probably on a number of team's radar screens in the second half of Round 1.

The Raiders have improved their talent greatly in recent years.   Yet,  the same can be said about the Jaguars.   Both teams should enter the 2016 with realistic playoff expectations.

Yannick Ngakoue
Jordan Jenkins is another favorite of mine as well for the OTTO spot.

I would like to upgrade OTTO in the draft, but we do have Skuta who was hurt a lot last year. When healthy he is a solid player, although I'd prefer him to be good depth rather than a starter. We need a G/C, LEO, OTTO, possibly a TE, MLB depth, with how great the DT/DE class is a guy like Chris Jones would be spectacular, etc.

We aren't going to fill all the needs here. We definitely need edge rush help, but don't think it's make or break in rd 2.

I agree. A pass rusher is a need but not a need to reach for over better talent at other positions if it's there.

That's who I had the Jaguars taking in Round 3 in the 3 Round Mock Draft I posted the other day.   In looking at options at the time at the LEO position,  they seemed very limited otherwise at that point in the draft.    Unless the Jaguars have a high grade on Reggie Ragland,  they probably should address the LEO/ OTTO position in Round 2.

He doesn't need it right now.. might not need it soon. Possible, though not probable, he never needs it.
I think Fackrell is a sleeper to become a Jag today

I agree. I think he is a guy we like a good bit.

Well obviously I'd prefer a pass rusher, but I don't think we HAVE to is all I'm saying. If we got an elite guard prospect like Whitehair, a guy lke Ragland at MLB who we may be high on that was a projected mid 1st, Chris Jones who is likely a 3T/5T with big upside, etc. I would not be upset.
So nobody is mocking us to get a center in Round 3?

We need both pass rushers and a center bad
We need both pass rushers and a center bad.
Jack in the 2nd, Jaylon Smith in the 3rd, Mr Miyagi in the 4th.  Super Bowl in 2018!!

Don't make the MB look dumb.  He doesn't need surgery now or possibly in the future so leave it alone before you make heads explode.  After the Jack logic, most ppl can't lie good enough to make an explanation for that.

As long as the Jaguars stay within the cluster of players with a given pick,  it increases the chances the draft decision will turn out well.

On paper,  the Jaguars look to be in very good position regarding the options with pick # 38.
