Ugh, first 2 would be underwhelming in my opinion. Floyd has never dominated anyone and Joeckel at guard makes me want to vomit.

Well get ready for that when Beachum ends up starting at LT and Joeckel kicks in to LG.

So Floyd (OLB) is a sleeper but we could take Tunsil (a LT) to push Joeckel to G (do they even know about Beachum? LOL) but if Ramsey (S) is there we get him?

 

They don't have any idea about what we'll do in my opinion. They only forgot to add "and depends on how they view Jack's knee" and they'd have covered everything LOL.

I don't mind getting Floyd, but not at 5. We would have to move out of top 10 to pick him in my eyes. But I wouldn't hate it. Taking Tunsil and moving Joeckel to Guard, I don't know about that. And I don't think we go Ramsey. I see him playing Corner with us and I don't see a high play level at corner with him in the NFL. I see him more of a safety with us and we don't need another FS.

Tunsil would be nice. Ramsey would be great.

Agree with you there, I can't really see him getting past #4.

Mayock also said Jack is untouchable in the top 10 in his opinion. I tend to agree.

Age means nothing to me unless there are two identical players and one is 20 while the other is 23. Pick the best player.

I wouldn't be thrilled with Floyd at 5 either, I would much rather move back a few spots and gain a 3rd or so to gain ammunition if we have a target we want in the bottom of the 1st/2nd or just to gain another solid player.

 

Regardless though, it seems more and more likely Jack's knee is bad the way things are going. Maybe this is all just a smokescreen and he's our guy, but if he's not the pick, that means his knees are probably a pretty serious situation. If Ramsey is gone, what are these main targets you want at 5? I've had to argue that Buckner would be worth it talent wise but he's a poor fit with all our bodies. Bosa is great and all but in this defense where is he playing? He's too big and lacks the speed off the edge to be a good LEO. I don't like our scheme but that's true, and he'll likely slide in as a 5T/3T as well.

 

Floyd is the best fit and has very good upside. Don't be "meh" on him because a couple of busts a few years ago in Jordan and Mingo. He's not the same player. I'm sure Dave knows that Floyd has a similar build to those guys, he wouldn't be seriously considering this guy if he thought it was too small to play LEO/OTTO, if he can sit at 240-245 he'd be a great fit. At 220, I agree, that won't work, but he'll be bigger then that. I'm sure of that.

Floyd is Derrick Harvey and Andre Branch 2.0. In that players we drafted to rush the passer and cant do squat.
