So it looks almost certain that Wentz will be a top 2 pick.
Now I don't know if it's just me, but I seriously do not see anything with him. He had a good accuracy in college and prototypical size but to me he seems to be drafted due to his intangibles.
He's a dink and dunk QB who's highest yardage in a game is along the lines of 335 and I may be wrong on this but I believe that was his only game over 300 yards.
He had a poor senior bowl imo yet he got raved about for it.
I genuinely believe Lynch is the 2nd best QB in this class behind Goff.
I'm not sure if this is just me but I thought I'd see everyone's opinion on him.
He is literally the same player to me as Bortles coming out of college aside from facing less tougher competition.
I don't think Goff and Wentz are that good. I think Conor Cook will be the best QB.

Is he I don't see it, Bortles had mechanical issues but I do believe he had proven and demonstrated his big arm and ability to make tight throws a lot more than Wentz
Wentz's completion rate under pressure is 42%.
He reminds of Gabbert. Same jersey #, limited college games played, same demeanor, choir boy, says the right things. I'd be cautious. lol

He's nothing like Gabbert

I think that was Derek Carr's biggest knock as well. He worked out OK.
I think Wentz is going to be the best QB. Goff reminds me too much of Sanchez and Ryan. I'd rather have the Bortles than a Ryan.

I could point out that I was the only one here who pounded the table for Carr and thought he'd be better than Teddy...
...but I won't.

I think I was on that train with you. I was on this Carr/Manziel bandwagon.
I got 1 out of 2 right...

I rank the top 5 qbs like this
Cook
Lynch
Wentz
Goff
Hackenberg
I think Carson wentz is really overrated, he's being drafted based on potential, but due to lack of QB talent it is a huge reach and gamble. Idk how he's going to handle playing against NFL talent.

Wonder if they said the same thing about Big Ben playing at Miami of Ohio.
Also wonder if they said the same thing about Damian Lillard playing at Weber State (NBA).

For every Big Ben and Damian Lillard, there are hundreds/thousands of Joe Blow's that you don't hear about.

That go in the top 10? Name a few top 10 QBs that were drafted from smaller schools that have failed over the past 10 years please.
Phil Simms, one of the most successful QBs in NFL History who fits the top 10 small school category, offered his thoughts on this year's QB crop. Simms rates Carson Wentz # 1, Paxton Lynch # 2, and Jared Goff # 3. His next rated QB is Kevin Hogan:

I actually thought the same thing. 23 college games prototypical size and passes the eye test.
This one might come back to haunt me but I think Paxton Lynch will be the best QB from this class when all is said and done.
I dunno haven't really looked at QBs because I just assume Blake wont get injured and be the man for the next ten years.. but i know the Jaguars publicly said they like Dax see him as the next Russell Wilson.
The stunning thing for me about Wentz is he was never more than Honorable Mention All-Missouri Valley Conference. Not first team All-Missouri Valley Conference. Not second team All-Missouri Valley Conference. Honorable Mention.
Yikes.
