3. TRADE: Jacksonville Jaguars (from San Diego Chargers) – Jalen Ramsey, CB, Florida State

In a trade that makes sense for both teams, the Jaguars secure their best fit in Ramsey and give up a third-round pick to leapfrog the Dallas Cowboys and ensure they get their guy. For San Diego, they are deciding between Ramsey and DeForest Buckner, though Buckner is likely their best fit and they feel safe moving down two spots knowing that Buckner is unlikely to be picked by the Cowboys. Ramsey’s floor is that of a versatile defensive chess piece that can play over slot (using his nation-leading run stop grade to play the run like a linebacker), cover tight ends, or even dabble at free safety. As for his ceiling, with only one full year as a true cornerback, there is still room to develop given his length and athleticism and he could still become one of the league’s best cornerbacks.

If we're giving up peanuts I would be fine with the trade. If it's like a 2nd round pick or something then I'll be pretty confused. That's like Gene Smith style.

PFF has us giving up a third rounder.
No thanks, no trading up. We stay put and we take a very good player or we trade down for more picks but no trading up.

Trading up from our second rounder to late first or from our 3rd rounder back in the second, that's another story and I'm all for it.

No thank you to this pick or trading up.

3rd rounder...Hmmm...I dunno. We are lacking depth at quite a few positions and still desperately need an interior lineman to start. I guess it just depends how they grade everyone. If they have Jack's knee flagged and Ramsey is a tier above everyone else, then I guess I don't hate it.
Ewww.

Not gonna happen
A 3rd is too much.
Yuck! If we are drafting for CB, then I'd go with VH3 or wait until the 2nd. If we move up to 3 to take Jack, I'm cool with it. But rather just stay at 5......

GO JAGS!!

No way. The Jags will not give up a 3rd round pick to move up 2 picks for Ramsey.

This is how they describe Leonard Floyd.

"...While he’s built like an edge rusher, Georgia used him in more of a traditional linebacker role early in 2015 and he took to it well. That adds more versatility to his game, but even if he’s used as a pure edge rusher, he has the length and athleticism to excel after grading as our top 3-4 outside linebacker in 2015 and posting the fifth-best pass rush grade among all edge rushers."

Isn't that a perfect description of an OTTO? Combination linebacker/edge rusher? That's an OTTO.
I really like Floyd. But I like Jack a lot more. If we trade back, I'm all for getting Floyd. But I prefer to stay at 5 and getting Jack (hopefully still there...).

GO JAGS!!

While I personally like it, I don't think Caldwelll is the type to trade up and give up picks. At least not now, he knows were not in the right position to give away a 2nd or 3rd round player right now.

To get the next Deion Sanders. Chhhhhammppiiiooonnshiiippppp
Hicken was reading a final mock today, and forgive me but I am unsure where he got it from (the name escapes me right now). The mock had them trading back with Tennessee for Tunsil. And with the 15th pick taking Leonard Floyd, which I would be good with. Beef, I think who was the producer this morning, suggested he'd be ok with that and take Spence. I would be on board with both, and accumulate a couple picks in the 2nd or 3rd round.

I'm pretty sure that was Peter King's mock draft, unless someone else had us trading with Tennessee.

OTTO needs to be stout against the run primarily. The rush/cover are bonus.
I think trading up in the Top 10 is a generally bad idea. It rarely works out. If a player (in the Top 10) is really that good (worth two picks) then why wouldn't the other team just take them?

I think a 4th or 5th is better considering Chargers would still get there guy in Tunsil as well its a win-win
