I like the trade down for us.

I do not like the trade down for Tennessee, though the OJ Howard pick is a smart pick for them.

I think that scenario is best case for us. I'm assuming we would get at least another 2nd rounder + a late rounder or 2.

Fournette at 12 is much better value and the extra 2nd gives another pick to improve the oline for him.

Considering most are fine with Fournette at 4, getting him at 12 would be awesome.
He's got Solomon Thomas going #8?

That surprised me too.

of the mocks ive seen its either solomon or allen going top 5 but not both.
Thomas could go 8, just depends really. I'd love him at 4, but about the only person I'm certain on for his spot is Garrett. Every team has different grades

I agree that would awesome. But I'd be afraid of Carolina swooping in at 8.
I really hope the Jaguars can get this trade done. There is a lot of talent in rounds 2 and 3 and everybody the Jags could take at 4 has question marks. I would expect the Jags to get either a 3rd or 4th rounder in addition to the extra 2nd round pick. Even if Fournette is off the board (Carolina, most likely), they will have a bunch of other possible options. Here is one that I'd like alot:

Rd. 1 (12)-  O.J. Howard

Rd. 2- Dan Feeney and Curtis Samuel(or Alvin Kamura)

Rd. 3- Nathan Peterman and Derek Rivers

Rd. 4- Top cornerback on board ( Awuzie, Douglas, Kazee, etc.)

Last free agent signing: Jonathan Hankins

Why I like this:

1. 2 future pro-bowlers (Howard and Feeney) who make life easier for Bortles

2. Both Samuels and Kamura would be excellent complementary backs to Ivory. Two of the better pass catching backs in the draft.

3. Peterman can step in right away if Bortles falters.

4. Rivers and Hankins complete defensive line, although Rivers will need a little time.

I would love this draft but I dont think Howard makes it to 12. He is shooting up boards.

Feeney and Rivers have less than a 10% chance of reaching 35 and 68 too.

I respectfully disagree on this. Take a look at all the current mock drafts and Feeney is rarely listed in the 1st round. Lamp is the only guard who consistently is projected for round 1. I believe when all is said and done, Feeney will be a solid and reliable pro, but there are enough medical concerns (concussion and lisfranc injury) to scare off most general managers from taking him in the 1st. Rivers was an exceptional college player, but he didn't face the level of competition that many other pass rushers in the draft encountered every week. Most scouts say he isn't at the level of Noah Spence when he came out last year. Spence was projected by many to go in the 1st, but he dropped to the 2nd round.

Only time will tell who is right, but I'd be thrilled to see both guys in teal next year.

I would bet anything feeney is gone by our pick. We are gonna have to settle for less. Interior oline always go higher than projected
