A couple of interesting thoughts from Lance Zierlein on NFL.com

8. There isn't a faster-rising offensive lineman than
Ryan Kelly: I have a second-round grade on Alabama's Kelly and I've felt like he's a solid second-rounder all along, but that's all changing. Kelly is clearly the best center in this draft and teams realize there will be a big drop in quality after him at that position. Because of this, his value is skyrocketing and he should land in the first round.

9.
Emmanuel Ogbah drops: Ogbah has some of the best production you'll find at the defensive end spot over the last two seasons, but that might not save his draft stock. Ogbah tests well, but doesn't play like a "bendy" edge rusher and his effort level is uneven. Three teams confirmed that he carries a grade of Rounds 2-3 and it's entirely possible he drops to the third round.

The Kelly one isn't really a surprise, but do you think Ogbah reaches round 3?

There are always some players (Cann and Bennett spring to mind) who end up being drafted later than expected...
Ive had a bad feeling Kelly goes first round for awhile now, would still love to get him in the second tho.
I would be more than happy with Garnett if they think Cann or Linder is the future at C
They keep saying ogbah tests well but he didnt do anything above average besides the 40 which is completely irrelevant to his position

I wouldn't touch him before the 5th.

I don't usually come up with strong negative convictions towards prospects, but I watched a couple cutups of him and, yeah, not good.
Yeah i've never been on the Ogbah train either. Can't imagine he would possibly last long enough to where I'd think he was truly BAP.

Besides not being "bendy", what else did you notice?
Nice eye.

I did the same thing a while back. I watched him on draftbreakdown and I came away very unimpressed.

Can you tell us what you saw specifically, that you wasn't impressed with.
I was under the impression he could be a late 1st round pick or mid 2nd.
I think the real issue with both Ogbah and Lawson is that they try to lean into the OT and win with power versus using their hands to get around the OT. This technique sometimes works against lower level competition in college but in the NFL, it will not work and you get a player that can not make his own plays and must rely on other players to flush the QB out of the pocket.
This was what was wrong with Andre Branch and his pass rush.

Stiff in general. He's got a bit of that Marcedes Lewis athleticism, ie lumbering, awkward. No real pass rush moves. He reminded me a bit of Andre Branch with him seemingly content with just running right at the tackle and if he didn't beat him immediately he would just kinda sit there and squirm.
I'm sure someone will pick him in the second because they will look at his size and production and think that they can develop him. I just have Andre Branch nightmares when I see him play and want no part of him.

Honestly, he is going a bit too high for a Center anyways, and I was not sure it was worth it. I would be totally okay with going with Linder for now and drafting Max Tuerk from USC a bit later and letting him rehab.

Andre Branch is not a starting level edge rusher, and on team without depth at the position he expected to be that. If that is Ogbah's floor, he would be totally worth a 3rd pick to see if he develops given the pass rush holes we have. I still want an Edge rusher drafted before him at 5 or 38 though.
I'd like Dieon Jones in the 4th or 5th.

That would be great value.
I think he's expected to go a few rounds before that sadly.

Not sure I'd say that about Lawson. He has moves and doesn't just rely on power.
