Myles Jack
While he is No. 3 on Jacksonville’s board and No. 6 on our overall draft board, where Jack will be selected is a bit of an unknown, due largely to medical concerns.
If the Jaguars pass on Jack with Bosa and Ramsey unavailable, he could be in for a bit of a “fall” on draft weekend.
That is my thoughts exactly, that the reason everyone is saying Myles Jack at #5 is from what they've been hearing out of Jacksonville & with the two interviews that the GM & HC did with the guy...
it could all be a smoke screen by Jaguars whom really want Jalen Ramsey or Joey Bosa.
Quote:First off, they are both really bad athletes. Nassib being a 30th and Dodd being a 20th percentile athlete. Nassib's lack of ability to do anything that requires change of direction in particular jumps off the screen. Hand usage only gets you so far in the NFL.
Just to expound a little more, since I've seen some silly speculation that Dodd > Lawson (not too much on here, but that actual NFL teams think this unbelievably). Dodd just doesn't get it done for me.

Success rate for unathletic DE is very, very low.Want a double digit sack DE?Play the odds, draft the guy on the left.

Quote:Kiper and McShay's dueling draft thing they did tonight had us taking Jack, Vernon Butler, and then Westerman. That too would be an awesome first two days.
I thought an interesting thing that came from last night is that most of them (including Kiper, McShay and Louis Riddick) indicated Bosa was overrated due to a weak DE class overall.

To what, then, do you attribute Terrell Suggs' success as a pass rusher?
If you recall, he ran a 4.9 40 when he came out.

thats funny, McShay has Bosa as the number one player on his bigboard
I think Bosa will be a above average player at worst in the the NFL but to me Ramsey, Jack,VH3,and Lawson all can be superstars or busts. If we picked Bosa I wouldn't be mad about it he's the #3 guy on my board

I don't think Bosa is a guy that you add to a average line and it all of a sudden becomes great.
But if you add him to a line with talent where he won't be double teamed, he's a 10 sack a year type guy. I think he's the perfect compliment to marks, Jackson, and fowler.

40 yard dash means literally nothing to me for a DE. I don't really even look at 10 yard split. It's all about the 3 cone, vertical/broad jumps, and shuttle in that order. Honestly don't care about the rest. Well height/weight/arm length/hand size matter but that's obviously different.
And also, of course there are outliers as there is in every rule of life (Nuk Hopkins is one of the rare 20th percentile athletes that has turned into a star...and hopefully Fowler will be one of the rare 30th percentile ones that does)...but you're just playing the odds.
