Why would it cause concern?

My thinking is that if the Bolts stay at 3, they would take either Tunsil or Buckner, leaving Jacksonville with a choice of two of the top 3 defenders we have been discussing all month no matter what Dallas does at 4.
However, if SD deals down, it would likely be to a team that is going to want one of those defenders, minimizing our choices.
A team trades up to a spot to get ahead of a team they think will target a player the trading team wants.
If a team is trading to 3, they are trading ahead of Dallas at 4.
Dallas does not need a guy like Tunsil. They already have a stud LT.
So it makes sense that a team trading up would go after a defender, giving the Jaguars fewer options at 5.
We get 1 of the big 3.... We good
Perhaps The team is trading up because San Diego is taking Tunsil.
Ravens trade up and flip a second to SD.
Dallas takes Ramsey
We take Jack/ Bosa
SD takes Buckner
I wondered if teams might try to leapfrog the 49ers to get Lynch, but it's hard to imagine anyone would want to go as high as 3 to do that.
But if Tunsil is available when Dallas pick, I could see a bit of interest from teams worrying he'd be picked by us or the Ravens.
S and LB are rarely seen as worthy of a top 5 selection let alone to be traded up for. I think if a trade were to happen the likelier target would be Tunsil.
JMO.

But DE and CB are not that rare as top 5 picks, and it is possible a trade up with SD could be for Bosa or Ramsey-if a team views Ramsey as a CB.
The only thing I'm worried about is Dallas taking Jack. I doubt someone moves to 3 to grab him (possible I guess). Dallas is my worry; no SD or someone trading to SD.
GO JAGS!!

I'd say CB is rare-ish but you're right about DE. Still, wouldn't you agree a trade up for a franchise LT is more likely?

Yes, I would agree on that point. Not necessarily as a general rule, but because Tunsil, the top LT, is considered (at least I think) a better overall prospect than Bosa.

Yes, in this instance specifically. Otherwise I'd argue DE is at least the equal positional value wise.
I'm in the camp of being ok if we get "stuck" with Tunsil, and I could possibly be sold on Buckner as well. Just for the record

I really hope Dallas or SD takes Buckner, thats the one guy I do not want
I would ok with Tunsil even tho I dont think its as big a need

Best situation would be..
Wentz
Goff
Buckner
Elliott
Then we can pick who we want the most

Who is the top non-QB prize in this draft? Seems the Bolts could really use Tunsil, so staying put would probably be best for them.

<p class="">With the top 2 picks already dealt, it's clear 4 of next 6 teams picking (SD, BAL, SF, CLE) are very open to trading down. Buyers market.

If a team trades up for #3 you would have to think that it is for LT Tunsil.
If a team trades up in the Top 10 for another QB, with this years draft having 10 great potential non-qbs I expect a lot of trades might happen....
seems this is one of the more exciting drafts in previous years for many teams.
