He is really good to be fair lol, but I agree.

Quote:Why wouldn't this trade have happened during the draft? The Eagles gave up that much and don't know which QB will be available yet. I'm sure there were other teams in the mix and it probably forced the issue now, but this seems like desperation on the part of the Eagles to me. Makes for good drama though.
Cleveland making what appears to be a good move for once. Probably means whichever QB goes second will wind up a hall of famer though.
These GM"s have close relationships with each other, they talk. It's almost a certainty Les Snead has told Howie Roseman who the Rams are taking.

does it feel different?
Here are some of the perceived options (99% of the QB prospects for 2017 are JR or redshirt JR)
"Swag" Kelly
Joshua Dobbs
Jeremy Johnson....
gross.
If you don't believe in Goff or Wentz, how could you feel good bout the QB crop coming up?
Umm... As of now the top QBs for next year are Watson and Kaaya.

I think Buckner is in serious consideration at 5. I don't think he's the sexy 15 sack per year guy (not sure Bosa is either), but his combo of size/strength and being fast enough makes me think he could be an 8 to 10 sack per year guy and also be very effective against the run and force 1 on 1 match ups for Fowler. What don't you like?

I doubt we take Buckner. The Interior Lineman position in this draft is so deep you will find lots of value after round 1.

Best news ever! We get a defensive stud!

Not to mention the guy's hands are gi-normous. I forsee a lot of tipped passes at the line much like JJ Watt. His arms are slightly longer and hands slightly bigger than JJ's. He's two inches taller as well.

Quote:Are Wentz and Goff really this great? I don't know a whole lot about them, but are they suppose to be hall of fame QB's?
Exactly what I've been thinking!
Are they better than Winston, Mariota, Bortles, Carr? (Even Bridgwater?)

As a Browns fan as well as the Jags, I am completely cool with this. Don't be shocked to hear about the Titans moving up to the 8 and the Browns dropping back to 15. Smoke is already starting about it.

Such a weird year for all of these trade ups for QB. Whatever, sounds good to me. I think SD takes Tunsil, or they should, so we'll be set at 5.

I'd take Kelly as the #2 but Watson is easily #1 right now.

The only player I don't want us to draft is Laremy Tunsil... Which means we will probably draft Laremy Tunsil.

There doesnt seem to be an obvious guy for us. Each has an easy to see red flag. Tunsil missed a bunch of time for various reasons. Ramsey, while good, didnt create a ton of turnovers. Jack has the injury risk. Bosa may just end up good but not great and not producing double digit sacks.
If Jack were 100% healthy, he would be the obvious pick to me. But I could be talked into any of them.

This draft is already fantastic and the clock hasnt even started ugh

All the better for us that Dave got his guy at #3 without having to trade picks.

I prefer one of the big 3, but if Caldwell takes Buckner, I'll be stoked as well. He is special.

1. Wentz
2. Goff
3. Tunsil
4. Buckner
That means the big three of Bosa, Ramsey, and Jack are available. Who do we take? Sounds like a good problem to have.

If that's the case, it would seem they are going full on rebuild mode. Jaguars have been in two recent rebuilds and never had that many picks. Not bad at all.
