Quote:I don't think Jack would have to gain weight to play MLB.
He is currently listed at 245.
Luke Kuechly is listed at 238 and plays MLB.
The knee is the only concern. Most medical sources I've read/heard have indicated the knee should be healed by now.
I've seen video of him running around a course.
I think if they (Dave and Gus) are satisfied with what they saw in person and the medical report, he'd have to be the pick.
There is, however, another thing that gives me pause.
The national consensus is that the Jaguars will take Jack at 5. But when has the national consensus ever had an accurate read on what the Jaguars will do in the draft?
Most mocks that I saw last year had us taking Fowler.

It doesn't happen often, but I'd say the play most mocked to us last draft was Fowler.

Yeah, he was the strong consensus if I remember right.

I think when we were about a week out from the draft, it was basically between Leonard and Fowler.

This is what I remember. It was split between Leonard Williams and Fowler.

Eh, I guess, but when you factor in how terrible we were at LEO and we just signed Odrick to a big deal to be our 5T while having Big Sen at 3T, Fowler made a lot more sense. IDK, felt like Fowler was in more mocks then not who were plugged into how the Jaguars defense was actually set up.

Exactly. I used to think he needed to gain weight as well until I saw he weighed in at 245. Which is heavier than Poz. Now the concerns about the knee are possible deal breakers.
This is a 7 round mock from CBSSports
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfl-d...team-picks
The Jaguars' picks, per this mock...and my thoughts...
1st round-Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio St
-I could see this happening. He could be good opposite Fowler.
2nd Round-Artie Burns CB Miami-
He has all of the measurables, but Miami hasn't produced CBs-an oddity considering the program.
3rd round Max Tuerk, C USC-
His knee makes me nervous.
4th round B.J. Goodson, LB, Clemson
5th round Graham Glasgow, OL,
Michigan-a strange pick, given the Tuerk pick above.
6th round Aaron Burbridge, WR, Michigan St-
I like the player, but not a good pick given the depth at WR the Jaguars currently have, and Jayron Kearse still on the board.
6th Round Antwaun Woods DT, USC
7th round Trae Elston, S, Ole Miss

So many players I would rather have than Burns in that mock draft.

Agreed. There were like 6-7 guys right after him I would have preferred.

I look it at this way whether its Jalen Ramsey, Joey Bosa or Myles Jack Jaguars win.... or even LT Tunsil for that matter..
we can argue over who they pick but does it really matter? all four guys mentioned above are elite... Pro Bowlers by 2nd year..
Charlie at WalterFootball posted a mock with my dream first 3 rounds:
1) Myles Jack
2) Noah Spence
3) Nick Martin
