Most of the mock drafts project us to end up with Jack, or at the vary least, one of Ramsey, Jack or Bosa.

At face value that seems to be a pretty good result no matter which of the three we end up with.

People are also confident that even if the team doesn't land one of those guys, a trade down is a good possibility.

But all of this presumes Jack's knee is sufficiently healed. It seems a safe assumption, considering he did participate in some LB drills at his April 1st workout even though he did not run the 40. It also seems safe considering what the doctor on 1010xl said last Thursday, namely that 6 months is well within the recovery time for a torn meniscus in the knee.

But what if Jack has suffered a setback?

What if Jack's meniscus is aberrational, such that it scares away teams in the top 5, including Jacksonville?

So if this happens, and the top 4 is

1. Tunsil

2. Wentz

3. Ramsey

4. Bosa

What then?

You literally answered your own question.

He's fine.

What if Bosa falls down the steps at his house? What if Ramsey decided to take up pickle ball?

Well, it's my understanding there are medical results from a recheck still pending.

However, the link flagatorsandjags provided to Jack's twitter feed looks good.

Anyway, here's another Jack article, from Prisco...

Just some pre draft anxiety.

If jack was out of consideration, that spot would be for vh3

I agree that that would be a decent choice. You can never have too many good CBs.
Perhaps more difficult - what happens if the result of the medical re-test on Jack's knee is less than conclusive?

Do you take the chance anyway?

Perhaps more difficult- what if his leg just falls off? Do we replace it with a bionic leg and draft him anyway?
Shaq Lawson for me if the Medicals scare off Jack, even though I know that it won't.
I would go VH3 if we don't go after Jack

So we'd have Cyborg on our team.

I'm down.
If that happens you smile big and say hello to

DeForest Buckner

http://www.addictedtoquack.com/football/...-nfl-draft

Buckner has met with Chargers, Cowboys, Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars!

His 12 inch hands are legendary (NFL Combine record), he's 6'7 1/2" and 291 lbs yet can run 40 yard dash in 5 secs

Sure Joey Bosa is better but if he's not there and Jalen Ramsey is gone its either Buckner or Vernon Hargreaves III

I'm all for cyborgs too, but that's probably not something we'd have to worry about.

But I don't think it's a massive stretch to imagine a scenario in which we are left with no clear answer on Jack's knee.

And at the end of the day aren't a lot of these draft discussion a hypothetical and speculative? They're mostly just asking the question "what if?" (Eg. What if Bosa and Jack fall to us? What if the Cowboys pick Jack? What if we trade down?)
Hmmm.

I wonder what the opinion of the Jaguars staff was.

#UCLA LB Myles Jack's medical recheck is over. "Differing opinions." Some teams thought the healing wasn't fast enough. Others are OK it.

What then, we redshirt him for the first year like Fowler, then the following season, becomes the faster version of Ray Lewis that we had envisioned. Chhhhhammmmppiiooonnnshhiiiiiiiipppp
Draft healthy. Get used to the idea of Buckner, it's a real possibility.

Ewwwww, yuck, like the possibility of selecting vh3.

Just looking at pass roster moves by Dave, he doesn't seem the type to be scared off by injuries.

To expound upon this...

from Myles Jack...

I'll bet the farther back in the 1st round you go the more teams are worried about Jack's knee, for the obvious reasons.

I think you're probably right.

Shame the medical re-checks were inconclusive, but it sounds like the teams got what they wanted from it.

It might work in our favour if the Cowboys/Chargers are scared off.
