I think the Titans will be aggressive in trying to move down and the Cowboys are blowing a bunch of smoke on not being in on a QB. I think the Titans would love to be able to trade down and end up at 4 and the Cowboys would love to be able to trade up for Wentz. In this scenario I see the draft falling like this for the first 7 picks:
1. Cowboys: Wentz
2. Browns: Goff
3. Chargers: Tunsil
4. Titans: Ramsey
5. Jags: Jack
6. Ravens: Buckner
7. Niners: Bosa
8. Eagles: Elliot
9. Bucs: Stanley
10. Giants: Hargreaves

Interesting.
In that scenario, I would be real curious about how the Jags rate Bosa. Because of course we don't know. Dave might pick Bosa over Jack.
I can't see the Cowboys picking a QB in the 1st.
I think Dallas staying at 4 and grabbing Goff is more likely than them trading up for Wentz.
I don't think the Cowboys will pick a QB. I think they will wait until the 2nd round or trade up for one in late first round. Cowboys will take Bosa, Jack, or Ramsey.
I have my doubts the Cowboys take a QB, nevermind trade up for one.
I see Jones as going all in this year and getting Ramsey, Jack, Elliiott or Bosa.
Personally, I would take a QB as Romo cannot stay healthy and is nearing the end of his career.

Honestly though, how confident are you that Wentz/Goff will be better than Connor Cook?
Cowboys take Ramsey/Bosa in the 1st then Cook in the 2nd.
The Dallas GM is too smart to mortgage the future by giving up what it's going to take and go after a questionable QB at #1.

I really don't know much about Wentz aside from what I have read.
From watching Goff and Cook, Goff appears to be infinitely more accurate. Nevermind the leadership questions about Cook.
I don't believe Goff will go in the top 5 and the price for the Cowboys to move from 4 to 1 SHOULD preclude them from moving up.
Additionally, if the Cowboys decide to move out of 4 and like Goff enough to draft him in the 1st, I could see them contacting the Jags about swapping for the 5th pick on draft day feigning that someone else wanted to jump in front of the Jags to get Jack or Bosa or whoever. It may not happen but I think it's more likely than the Cowboys moving up to 1. The draft value chart has the number 1 pick valued at 3,000 points. The number 4 pick is valued at 1,800 points. That's approaching half the value.
Even if you don't believe the value chart is relevant anymore, you'd have to expect that the Cowboys would have to pay more than what Washington paid to move up to 2 from 6 a few years ago to get RG3. The price for Washington to move to 2 was number 6 and 39 of the same draft, number 22 the following year and the number 2 overall pick two years later. That's two future 1's and a current year 2 to swap from 6 to 2. I certainly hope the tacks can't get that type of haul.
The only team I'm ok with them trading the pick to is Cleveland as the compensation would be far less and Cleveland could secure what they hope to be their guy in Wentz and protect themselves from the slim possibility that someone else actually does want to pay a king's ransom to move up to 1 to get him. I'd really hate to see the tacks get two additional 1st round picks in the next two drafts along with extra 2nds and maybe 3rds as well.
Draft analyst seem pretty evenly split between Goff and Wentz. Not sure I see a team willing to trade half its draft to make a move for one when they can likely sit pat and get the other.
a report in the paper speculates that the Eagles, not the Cowboys will trade with the Titans and take a QB with the #1 pick....
so that would drop the Titans to pick #8...

i could see the titans taking vh3 in that scenario
I hope someone trades just to spice things up some

The price would be astronomical to move from 8 to 1. It's much more likely, if the Eagles' interest in a QB is serious, that they trade up just a few spots to put themselves in better position for Goff if he's there.

the paper went on to say that the GMs for the Eagles and Titans have worked with each other before (the DeMarco Murray deal) and as such, they might strike up a "discount" trade(or maybe go with extra picks from next year's draft)...

Is the paper reporting that they are currently working on a deal or is the author just speculating? The way you've worded it sounds like it's just speculation. Whatever potential discount might be given, you don't pass up a better offer from another team that might be willing to trade up (like the Cowboys) so the compensation still would have to be something close to market value for the pick and the Redskins gave up three 1's and a 2 to move up 4 spots from 6 to 2 a few years ago. The Eagles moving from 8 to 1 would have to be at least the same compensation and would more than likely require more. And remember, future picks aren't worth the same as current year picks. The tacks would be VERY fortunate to get that type of haul, but quite frankly the Eagles would have to be morons to do it. I could see the Jags getting offers to move back from a team like the Eagles for them to get in position to get Goff assuming he'll be there. They'd be leapfrogging San Fran in that scenario who is more than likely also interested in drafting a QB this year.

That trade was beyond dumb and everybody knew it was from the second it was announced. No team is going to make a trade like that again, especially in this coming draft.
