We sometimes hear it said that our defense "needs to get faster".


So, which draft picks would make us faster?

Myles Jack

Myles Jack LB UCLA in the 1st round

Artie Burns DB Miami in the 2nd round

Deion Jones LB LSU in the 3rd round

Jonathan Jones DB Auburn in the 4th round

Travis Freeney LEO Washington in the 5th round

 

We'd get real fast in a hurry.

Same here. What he would allow the defense to do in the form of our Nickel defense would be huge, and this is a league now where Nickel is the norm anymore.

Not Artie Burns plz. He is this years look like tarzan play like jane dude (it's really Marquez North probably but he's barely draftable so doesn't count). Biggest difference between bad play and good athleticism. 

Jack and Usain Bolt.... We would be really fast.

Myles Jack, Deion Jones, and Jatavis Brown should all be considered at LB if we're looking at speed.

1st Myles Jack and 2nd Noah Spence 3rd Artie Burns combo or 1st Joey Bosa 2nd Kendall Fuller 3rd Deion Jones?

someone explosive on the end besides fowler and the eventual replacement of Poz and Skuta(hopefully Jack is one of these) will go such a long way.


Wish there was more depth at LB cause i really wouldnt even mind double dipping with myles jack first and another guy that could rotate with Skuta and eventually takeover.

I like this idea a lot. Grab your favorite player at 5. Probably Myles Jack. We got 8 picks. Move back into the first and nab a top flight edge rusher of your preference. Then take the best center available with the next pick. Boom.

Okay Al Davis, speed isn't the only thing...  but the fastest in the draft is   CB Jonathan Jones, Auburn whom ran a 4.29 in 40 tied for 2nd is


CB William Jackson III, Houston 4.32 in 40

CB Anthony Brown, Purdue 4.32 in 40

The fastest in the defensive player rated in the top 15 is

CB Eli Apple, Ohio State 4.34 in Forty Yard Dash, 2.59 20 yard dash

He has visited Jaguars whom have shown interest.  He is considered by many to be the 2nd best corner in the draft a very physical Corner whom needs to work on awareness.  Probably the most underrated player in the draft's top 20.

Many teams have requested a visit from him as they try to figure out if he should go in the top 15 or not.

CBS has him going 16th overall and 2nd only to Vernon Hargreaves III in best corners in the draft.

Of course that is regarding simply the 40 yard dash other things to look at...

 

*FS Jalen Ramsey 4.37 (Walter football says 4.41) in Forty Yard Dash, 6.94 sec in Cone

Considered in the top 3 of best athletes in the draft overall some say the best, but no question the best FS in the draft.

 

 

Vernon Hargreaves III ran a 4.5 in the 40 yard dash many rate him as the best corner in the draft.

Joey Bosa had a slower 40 yard dash than many had thought he would based on film from college with a 4.86, but he did run

a 6.89 sec in the cone drill, and 4.21 in the shuttle.

Myles Jack torn ACL (knee injury), bothers me taking him 5th overall.

 

Myles Jack suffered a torn anterior meniscus and will be out 4-6 months - 9/24/2015 (yet many say he might not be ready by the start of the season which is a huge concern), and many players never return as good as before that injury... not to mention once you had a serious injury it only increases your chance of having more & then if you do even higher chance of the next time... Look at DT Marks for example.. or Marqise Lee ...

Myles Jack at #5. If he's not there, trade back (hopefully possible) and take Floyd. I'm starting to really like him as a pure rusher.

WoW!  4.7 DT I guess he's going to be small & pushed around a lot?

 

who doesn't want a 4.3 CB you realize that only one person ran faster than a 4.3 in this draft right?

 

If you go for speed you usually lose size & strength so I think you need a good mixture of things depending on the team you are going against.
