Quote:ur still hurt over that lol its been like a week. Not that serious man, the anger isnt good for your health.

Not angry. And I'm not sure what you are referring to.

That said, you are the only one besides my 12 year old niece that punctuates every sentence with "lol". So are you 12 years old, someone's niece, or both?
The days of teams keeping a 260 lb. dude who's too short to play TE, too slow to play RB but hits like a load of bricks on the roster are over.

Until, of course, a team that plays a 260 lb. dude who's too short to play TE and too slow to play RB 60+% of the time and leads the league in rushing on their way to a Super Bowl. Then fullbacks will return. Until then, fullbacks are all but dead, with second tight ends and third receivers taking their place.

Quote:Any idea if he can lead block, ooooooooooorrr...?

From Rotoworld;

Although not a dynamic athlete, Koyack is a competitive blocker with huge hands (10 3/4") and natural short-area receiving skills. Koyack projects as an in-line tight end who could be a functional short-term starter, but is best suited as a backup
Quote:No FB needed.  For the once in a long while short yardage, you can train a player, such as last year's Alualu, to be a battering ram.

If no FB is needed, Blush why would you need to take a DT/LE to play the role of FB such as Tyson Alualu?  :whistling:
I get that Alualu might be better this year after some experience and an offseason, but don't hand him the job. We should have an all out competition with several players possibly giving it a shot including Koyack. Maybe give the 6-0, 250 lb Carson Tinker a crack at the role to help justify his own roster spot. Guys like Koyack at 6-5, 255 are kind of tall for the role, and as an OL Tinker has to have some blocking experience. Okay, maybe not the LS, but perhaps there is a better DE like Chris Smith at 6-1, 270. He's smaller that the 6-3, 310 lb Alualu, but he may be more nimble.

Quote:I think Dan Vitale from Nortwestern would be a good fit in our offense.Extremely good athlete, great pass catcher and lead blocker.

Him or baby Gronk.
why is this a topic?

Just run Yeldon behind Ivory

The answer is clearly "yes"

Ivory is a poor pass blocker. Doubt he would be a good run blocker

LOL... I was merely scouring the roster for players with a good height-weight ratio for the position. Another player fitting the height-weight bill who I didn't even mention is Dan Skuta.

Joeckel's certainly big enough to play fullback. If only he could block...
I'm 6-2, 245 lbs, soooooooooooooo....?

I'd have you sign up for a crack at FB, although you actually have to be on the roster first.

I'm 6'1", and was 258 just over a year ago. Now I am barely 180. I guess I don't qualify. Sad

You can probably still lead block better than Alualu.

And pick up a yard better than gerhart, for that matter.
