Full Version: How early does Ezekiel Elliott go?

I know the trend the last few years had been to pass on running backs in the first round. Until last year with Gurley. He was an elite prospect last year. Even with his knee injury, he went top 10 and looked like a potential star last season.

I think Elliott goes as early, if not earlier. Seems like the earliest he could go is 4 to Dallas but that seems unlikely. Mel Kiper now has him going to Baltimore at 6. With Kiper being in Baltimore, I have to think he is hearing that Elliott is a legit option for the Ravens. I doubt he gets past the Giants at 10.

Part of me wonders had the Jaguars not taken Yeldon last year in the second round, if Elliott would be an option at 5.

Yeah I agree he could go as early as 4 to the Cowboys. I'm going to say he goes 8 to the Eagles. Seems like a good fit there.
Even in your scenario, if the jags took Elliot at 5 I'd be upset. No runningback deserves to be taken that high. It just isn't important enough of a position any more. I'd rather them take a DE, LB, CB, OL. Even if they were stacked at those positions I'd prefer them to take another.

I think earliest he goes to is Philly.  I don't see Dallas taking a RB that early.

I think he ends up as a Giant if Dallas doesn't draft him.

Middle of the 1st
I think Giants or Phins.

If the 2015 class were re-drafted today, do you think Gurley would go before 10 and would he deserve it? I do. I think the running back position has been unfairly beaten up in recent years. Probably because the talent coming out at the position has taken a dive. The every down back has become and will remain a rarity, but a good running game whether by talent at the running back position or on the OL or both will remain an important part of a potent offense, especially in the playoffs where teams' game plans are often centered around waiting for the opposition to make a mistake.
Bal. would be a good spot
#1 overall, he good
I could still see him slipping out of the top 10. I know Cowboys/Ravens/Giants all have a good shot at him. I kind of believe the phins may nab him. Even then I wouldnt be surprised to see him slip a bit farther down.

In that consensus thread I said I thought the Eagles did that trade with the Dolphins with drafting Elliot in mind, so I'll still say he lands at 8.

Hopefully #4 to the Cowboys.......... lol

GO JAGS!!

What if Bal. drafted him? Do yall think that would be a good pick for them? The more I think about it I think that would be a great pick for them and Flacco

I think it would help them but they need a lot of help on defense too.
