This article from today.

Seems more definite than King's article from last week.

Quote:If a team outside the top five trades with the Titans (presumably for a QB) then I wonder what that means for Tunsil.

I think the Brown would still go QB or the top defensive player on their board and the Cowboys don't really need to strengthen their offensive line, so that just leaves the Chargers.

Could the man we assumed would be the number one pick slip out of the top five altogether?

The Browns would be all over Tunsil.
Now this from CBSSports....Cleveland moving from 2?

If both Tennessee and Cleveland trade down, it increases the likelihood of QBs going 1-2.

I think if Tunsil is there at 3, SD would be hard pressed to pass him up.

Jacksonville could conceivably have the choice of 2 of the top 3 defensive players.

This would be a great scenario, however Caldwell still needs to pick the right guy. It wouldn't surprise me if in 5 years we look back and say one guy is a superstar, another is good- not great and the 3rd is a bust. Unfortunately, part will be determined by injuries, part by scheme they play in and part by luck. It's about time for the Jaguars to start getting more luck!

If you truly trust all the fans hype of LB Myles Jack why on earth wouldn't the Titans draft him 1st overall knowing that they need help on LB?

#1.) Titans draft LB Myles Jack

Browns like running exciting QBs and got RG3 to replace Johnny Football but without a good LT doesn't matter who the QB is so instead they draft.

#2.) Browns LT Laremy Tunsil

The chargers take the most athletic person in the draft that fits a need hoping he's a shut down corner but if nothing else can upgrade FS this season.

#3.) Chargers  CB Jalen Ramsey

Maybe trade down, but Godfather Gil praises Joey, and Dallas needs an edge rusher badly some say he's JJ Watt others say Ryan Kerrigan Cowboys would take either.

#4.) Cowboys   DE Joey Bosa

Time for the Jacksonville Jaguars #5 overall pick with no team drafting a QB as of yet they expect tons of phone calls to trade down but Dave hasn't traded out of 1st yet so ..

#5.) Jaguars draft CB Vernon Hargreaves III

I could see the Ravens trading up for Jalen Ramsey or for Bosa but instead I think they wait and draft a shocking person that can improve their offense immediately..  Could see T Stanley here too.

#6.) Ravens RB Ezekiel Elliot

If this happened 49ers would be happy yet conflicted they can take either QB but which one? Or none since they kept CK with no trade to Denver. As much as Chip Kelly would like to start his year with the QB he picks, I think he could be tempted to go else where.

#7.) 49ers 3-4DE Buckner

I think so too, everyone is quick to throw RG3 away as garbage but he still has one heck of an arm and legs if Browns OC scheme is built around him... either way the team needs a LT and Tunsil is too good not to draft.. safe pick.

Because in their scheme, implemented by former Steelers Def Coordinator Lebeau, the Steelers had success obtaining LBs for it in the mid rounds (Greg Lloyd, Joey Porter, Earl Holmes, Jason Gildon).

I'd bet Lebeau has advised the tacks do the same in Tennessee.

Furthermore, there are prospects available without the serious knee injury history that Jack has.

That would not be the smartest thing to do.   The smartest thing to do when you have a very high pick and you don't have a long term franchise QB is to take a QB.   Team success is so QB dependent.   Get yourself a QB, build around him, and you can make the playoffs consistently.  Without one, it doesn't matter what kind of team you put together, you will wind up wandering in the wilderness of mediocrity.

But how often do we say someone is a "safe pick" and they turn out to be not so safe?   A lot.
