Say we draft Bosa and Lawson drops to mid 20s. Would u trade back in round one. To get Lawson even though ya got bosa.

Or do nothing and say we are all set.

Mods please move this to draft section.
I would. Adding Bosa and Lawson would be legit.
I would definitely do that if you can accomplish it with late round picks. Some of them probably won't make the team anyway.

No.  With Fowler already a "new" 1st round pick to the roster this season, I would not also want to spend the two highest picks (plus more picks to trade up) to the same position.  1 new DE in the 1st 2 picks is fine, and maybe an additional developmental DE somewhere later in the draft will suffice.

No, thats just entirely too much emphasis on DE
No, if we draft Bosa we still need LB and C/G. That is why I prefer Jack in the 1st and Spence if he drops in the 2nd.

That's like saying there's "too much emphasis" on QB, IMO.

I want QB hunters.  We have few, if any, who are effective.

Those are the second highest priority behind QB, and we have ours for the time being.  So, DE is THE priority to me.
Tougher question than I first thought. With this being a deep defensive draft, it would behoove us to get a couple of them if possible as this year's late first rounder may well be equivalent to a top 12 guy next year. Gotta get them when you can.

My initial reaction was NO and I agreed with ATLjag but, upon reflection, I'll leave this one up to Dave.

No thx, we have Fowler and to add Bosa would be solid. Would rather upgrade another position

What exactly, do we have in Fowler?

Unfortunately, we don't know.

What exactly would you have in Lawson? You can say the same thing about him

Which is why we could have both and be all set at that position.
What do we have in KYjelly I mean Jaggy? We don't know.

and you can make a significant improvement to the position by just adding one guy in the first assuming you take bosa. Add more in the later rounds for rotation but spending 3 first rounders plus what it would take to move back into the first is pretty absurd.

We have just one QB. He could get injured. We passed on Roethlisberger and Rodgers because we had our QB.

In any case I think Lawson is overrated. However I'd be all in on drafting Spence in the 2nd round.

I don't know why some find this so difficult to understand.  Unless they are Gators and afraid Fowler would get beat out.

LOL... you did NOT just post that...

There's not Rodgers or Roethlisberger in this draft, and our starter is 10x the QB we had then.

In hindsight Bortles appears to be 10x better than Leftwich. But really, we only have two seasons (and only one good season) of Bortles to believe that's true. Leftwich was a top-ten QB at the time of his injury in 2005.

And how can you say for sure that Wentz or Goff is not another Rodgers or Roethlisberger?
Rodgers dropped to the 24th pick for a reason. Wouldn't you have said back in 2005 that there's not another Manning or Culpepper in that draft?

I'm not advocating drafting Wentz, I'm just saying that you never know which position will need a replacement player. Excluding QB could be the wrong guess.

Big ben has had several off field issues. And in Jax would of been cut. And Rodgers got to learn from Farve. So both of them are irrelevent.
