Which of the following of these players likely to be available at our pick in the 2nd round would you prefer to have?

Obviously they are all different types of DBs- Cravens being even more of a LB/SS hybrid.

I was team Karl Joseph for the longest time, but the closer we get to the draft the more intrigued I am with Keanu Neal...

What do you think?

Im a Gator fan and I like Neal but I think this poll will be lopsided.   Karl Joseph!

Joseph is the best safety in my opinion
Yeah, it's Joseph out of this group. I like Neal's potential at SS he can really lay the wood, but man he takes some terrible angles and missing a ton of tackles...kinda like Cyp really.

I really doubt we go SS at 38 though, I don't think Dave is ready to essentially toss both of Cyp/Sample in the trash yet.

Joseph, but I like Neal's potential as a SS as well.

Yeah, this is kinda my worry too. I think he'll be a better pro than Cyp though.
If you want to truly have interchangeable safeties then Joseph is your guy. Pairing him with Gipson would give us a duo that could potentially rival the group in Seattle. Both guys are serious ball hawks.

Agree. Joseph vs Kelly vs Brothers in round 2 for me.
I doubt Cravens will be a safety in the pros, he'll likely be a WLB in a 4-3 or play inside like Bucannon does in Arizona.

Karl Joseph, absolutely. This guy is awesome and before FA I was all for a Jack-Joseph combo in first 2 rounds.

But after FA we still have pass rusher, linebacker and offensive line who need help and if we (hopefully) go Jack in the first round I highly doubt we'll go safety in the second considering we got Gipson. we can't count just on Fowler at DE and I see them going that direction in the second.

Plus, if a Center like Ryan Kelly or a Joshua Garnett are there you have to take them as you'd fix the interior of Oline for good without moving Linder away from his position.(well you would with Garnett but it's worth it)

The Jack-Joseph combo would have been amazing though, so much speed added to our defense and Joseph would have paired up perfectly with Gipson.

Cravens might be interesting, but I agree with the previous comment, safety really isn't a priority after signing Gipson.

Passing on someone like Kelly, or one of the remaining DL players to take a back-up safety would be a hard one to justify.

I dont see Karl Joseph being a back up to Cyp and Sample. What if we take Bosa in the first and Kelly is off the board for our 2nd round pick?

In that scenario I'd want the best available linebacker. We have no depth in that department.

I'd be pleased to get Joseph too, but really don't think they'll see safety as a big need.
I get the feeling they like Sample idk, but id have no problem with Joseph hes gonna be real good
I only say Neal because he looks to play more of a Kam role...... But don't sleep on a Guy like Myles Killebrew. Go watch this kid lay the wood!

I find it unlikely that the GM drafts a safety in the 2nd round with other huge needs (maybe Jalen Ramsey in the 1st because he's too good to pass up at #5) other wise I wouldn't expect a safety in the top 3 rounds.

I like Joseph, however like others doubt we go safety in round two. Shame Joseph couldn't have been the guy available when we picked Cyp. Way better than Cyp. 2013 was the suxs.
We don't need to draft a safety because the talent is there and its loaded.

Gipson - Pro Bowler
Cyprien - Future Pro Bowler when the team has a pass rush
Sample - The next Ronnie Lott
Evans - Above avg player with a pass rush
Sergio - Above avg player with a pass rush
Plus Allen Robinson says he wants to play safety
I don't really want to go safety in the 2nd but I would take JOseph in this scenario.
