Jacksonville will host a World Cup qualifying game in September between the USA and Trinidad & Tobago.
A press conference will be held tomorrow to release the full report.
Everbank will be rockin'….
Does anybody else think that Jacksonville could host an MLS team in the future? It sure seems like the city has enough local area support for one.

I think they definitely could. But they have no stadium or anything on the horizon. I spend time in San Antonio for my job. They have a team in the same league as the Armada. Their team plays in a brand new stadium that can be expanded if they get an MLS team. The Armada play in a baseball stadium.
Also, with Orlando (and soon Miami) already with teams it seems unlikely.

Miami will fold within 5 years...just my guess.
Will the US even be in the hunt for the World Cup when that game comes here is the real question.

A scary thought but not unrealistic

With tonight's current score of 3-0, things look to be good to go. This result should hold. As long as Klinsmann stops experimenting with players out of position and just play, we'll be fine.
Everbank will definitely be rocking that night and I can not wait. I have seen the USMNT team play twice at Everbank with the last being the send off game Win against Nigeria before the World Cup. Awesome atmosphere. I was also at the regular season opener for the Armada last year where we broke the NASL record for attendance. It too was an awesome atmosphere. The city likes its soccer.
This game should decide who wins the group.
Hopefully that's all that will be on the line then.

Yup, looks that way now. Beat St. Vincent and the Grenadines on 9/2 then here against Trinadad and Tobago on 9/6 and move on to the Hex.
I'm a jaguar fan that lives in Trinidad and Tobago so this was cool to hear
