Well he did get us that win vs Miami, so he has that going for him.

Kid had an up and down year for sure. He had a couple of really rough games, looking at you Colts game, but I thought he showed a lot of promise. He will only get better going into year 2.

Was this the right kind of appreciation?
I'll appreciate him more when he hits all of his PATs and hits more reasonable kicks

Someone needs to get him a stack of Playboys to read before every PAT
Yes, statisically he did do better than scooby did his first season. However, stats can be very misleading if not viewed in context. It wasn't just the number of times missed, but the circumstances of those misses than are so aweful. It can be correctly said that Myers cost us at least two games that we could've/should've won; for a professional kicker that is unforgiveable. No doubt he will be at spring training but hopefully there will be plenty of competition so we have options other than Mr. Choke... I mean Myers, for kicking field goals and pats.

Is....is that a Rube Baker reference?

Quote:Josh Scobee 2004 (Rookie Season): 24-31 FG 77.4% Long 53 ; Jason Myers 2015: 26-30 FG 86.6% Long 58 ; Give the kid a chance. He will get competition in camp, but I expect he will be our kicker next year.

Why yes, yes it is, would make a hilarious micd up
Myers has always been inconsistent, including in college.  He's not going to change.

However, I do appreciate that his family makes really good spiced rum.

I think he did great for a rook since they pushed the extra-point back in his debut season.

Last year was a waste anyway..

Good point. So why waste this year too?
I thought he only lost us 1 game?

Anyways it was time for Josh to go, he was the best Jag player, not the best kicker. Josh has some long distance field goals and according to WJXT, has a 70 yard in training camp. http://www.news4jax.com/sports/nfl/getti...ason-myers

Here's my appreciation

.

Okay, I'll give him another year

My exact reaction...

NH3...
I would not be shocked if the Jaguars either drafted a kicker or signed an undrafted FA Kicker to compete with him.

What was their stats for extra points?

I don't care what rules were changed, I just want to know what both of their extra point stats were in their rookie seasons.

Hahahah you should care about the rule change because it makes all the difference.
You can't be serious in trying to compare kickers from before and after the PAT rule change. I'm no math major (I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once though)  but...I will bet Scobee's pct was higher.

"I wanna know their free throw percentages when they were rookies. I don't care if they moved it back to the 3 point line.... I wanna know!"
