The gay pedophiles just like their boys younger? Seems like an abnormally large amount of gays are pedophiles in relation to the rest of the population. That seems pretty obvious and self explanatory.


If you have a traditional worldview like everyone did till 50 years ago you would believe that being gay is a form of sexual deviant, just like pedophiles and there would be no mystery why such a large portion of them are pedophiles as opposed to straight pedophiles.


It would be similar to the logic that cocaine use is going to be higher among people who do drugs. The only difference is being gay is no longer considered 'deviant' by a large population of people, so they (liberals) have no way to explain the much higher per capita rate of gay pedophiles.


Thats an issue for liberal sociologist tho (who prob also have trouble explaining why natural selection hasn't got rid of the supposed 'gay gene' in the first place, and have to make up ridiculous theories that basically destroy darwins principles by trying to make them fit a societal phenomena). Seems much easier to me to believe that men are just naturally inclined towards sinfulness and that's why they do it.


In regards to why gay population is growing, there is the appeal, I think, especially to white males, to become part of a 'protected' special class that gets favors; rather than being a plan ol white guy who is demonized by left media as supposed racist fascists. Being gay changes the narrative, you go from 'oppressor' to victim. Not claiming that this is the majority at all, but I am sure some say it for this reason.


Being gay/trans makes you special. People don't consider you 'men' anymore and you don't have to fight the battle, you get to play by the girls standards as the 'weak' who need special protections.

Basically gay men are 1-3% of population and yet over 1/3rd of pedophiles are gay. So a gay men are pedophiles at a rate of 10 - 33 times greater than would be expected based on their proportion of the population at large.



As far as Michael Sam being a publicity stunt for the NFL, its pretty obvious he was. Poor guy got used and dumped. I would feel worse for him, but he did get a better payday than I probably ever will, but still it sucks. He was brainwashed into thinking this would be a great thing IMO and he would be given special opportunity because of his sexual preference, only to be dumped after he gave ESPN their moment. Wish him well.

The funny thing is those who tend to chafe the most under the perceived constraints of political correctness are those who tend to ideologically favor "the invisible hand of the free market."  Ironically, they don't want the marketplace of ideas to be similarly unfettered and self regulating.

 

Under what other paradigm are noxious ideas publicly disseminated and not treated accordingly in the marketplace of ideas?  If someone posts something on this board that people think is inane or worse, he or she is sure to hear about it from the posters here.  If one were to go to the stadium on game day wearing a sandwich board declaring the end of the world is nigh, he should expect a certain amount of ridicule.   While I do not endeavor to wade into politics on this forum, I do observe more than a token amount of vituperative dissonance when protesters not of the dominant paradigm go to a particular presidential candidate's speeches.

 

Yet these "rugged individualists" whine when they are somehow not exempted from traditional notions of common courtesy and decency when they spout bigoted bile and it is rejected by a larger audience that does not share their distaste for a particular subgroup.  They hide behind the apron of like minded individuals lamenting the bad people who have the nerve to call them on their bigotry and want the rules of the game to apply to everyone but them.

None of us are draft or NFL talent experts, but imagine if someone said a senior who got 11.5 sacks in a major conference (SEC), was defensive player of the week a few times, SEC Def player of the year, etc., was drafted in the 7th round. If no one was aware of who it was, I wonder how many here would say "why wasn't he drafted sooner", not " it's a conspiracy he got drafted".

It's not about what you've done, it's what you will do. As Vic said its a crystal ball business. Most experts thought he wouldn't even get drafted

Yeah, I really didn't follow it that closely when it happened, as a matter of fact I have probably followed what happened with him more since this thread than at the time. I did see a few interesting things when I googled it today after your post. First, there was an article about how Scouts inc gave him a 6th round grade, but the article focused on the probability of him actually getting drafted. I thought for a second that was a bit overboard til I saw it was 538, Nate Silver's stats site. But it also linked to a few articles on how he had dropped significantly on a number of boards since he had come out. Have to say, though, my recollection was he had a lousy combine but most folks still thought he would be drafted. In reviewing old articles, I have to admit I was a bit surprised by how many anonymous NFL sources thought his being gay would impact his draft status. I still think he hasn't made his mark because he was too much of a tweener, but the 'gay' angle wasn't as irrelevant as I thought it would have been.

Pretty much.  It's certainly plausible he used the opportunity to increase his chances of being drafted.

 

I don't blame him for extra effort, but if that was his reason I can also understand why some would be upset he exploited himself as a means to an end.  As it's been said, it doesn't matter what his preference is.  Or, at least... shouldn't.  If he and/or the NFL "used" that, even with good intention, it would still be insulting and not promoting the cause as it may have been veiled to have been.  That is called self-promotion, not promotion of a bigger cause... exploiting the cause for selfish reasons.

 

Now, say word never got out of his preference and his outcome were exactly the same, which... judging by the perception of his NFL projection by scouting reports were likely to happen anyway, no one would be talking about it or giving it any attention at all.

 

Some have said he'd have been a "better pick" than Storm Johnson, but in reality he would have been exactly the same.  A fruitless pick that everyone will have soon forgotten about.

I was good friends with a guy who chose to be gay because he thought that was the only way someone would want to be with him. Growing up his mom told him a girl would never love him or want to be with him. Even more sad was the fact that the guy he was with treated him like crap but my friend stayed with him because the guy wanted him around. People will absolutely be whoever they feel they need to be to get/have what they want in life. Especially when it comes to something like this.

Well then it's decided. Homosexuality is a farce created by Obama and his socialist henchmen to promote political correctness and the spread of Islam.


That said, it does seem a bit off that thousands of these frauds CHOOSE to be gay only to take the coward's way out by FAKING distress and killing themselves...probably for attention...because that's the only way they....could be....with someone?

Yeah, no.  He didn't 'choose' to be gay.  You can't choose attraction to the sex you aren't attracted to.  Some people are bisexual, and are attracted to both.  He may have decided to date a guy, despite having no sexual attraction them.  But that doesn't make him gay.  If he was attracted to them, then he was gay from the get go.  Or possibly bisexual.    And of course some people are just in denial.


I would know, because my best friend's (Yes, my best friend is a woman) wife went through conversion therapy.  It was the worst experience of her life, and no matter how much she tried, she couldn't be attracted to the opposite sex.  This was despite going through physical and emotional pain.  She couldn't change who she was.
