This fool has the Jags moving up to the 3rd pick to take Myles Jack.  While I do think Jack would be a great fit for the Jags, there is no way I would trade up to take a guy who was injured most of last season.  Does this guy think Gene Smith is still the GM?

Thats really not that absurd of a move

I'd have to disagree. We're talking about a linebacker here. Fifty percent chance he'll be there at no. 5 anyway. If not, Darron Lee is not that much of a drop-off if Dave is adamant about drafting a linebacker in the first round.
Dave will not trade up from a #5 spot to pick up a LB.

No way we trade up, but if he's at 5, definitely should grab him. However, I'm thinking we might get some offers to move back and I think Dave could take it; which would kind of suck if Jack is there....

GO JAGS!!

If Dave trades up it would probably be for Ramsey. Unless he really wants Jack and thinks Dallas will take him. But I see Bosa going to Dallas because they have so many problems at DE right now.

Historically the trade up to 3rd would be around a 4th-5th round pick, it isn't that bad. As a draft junkie I've come to suscribe to the Mayock grading system, he has Jack has the second highest ranked player (lee is 35th). I've come to find Mayock's grading system to follow very closely to how they end up doing in the NFL. Check http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015 and change the 5 to 4,3,2 for the years and hit tracker and sort by grades.

In a perfect world, Jack or Ramsey will fall to us but sometimes you have to be aggressive and I'm all for landing a blue chip talent.

Im not saying id do it or anything just dont think throwing around Gene Smiths name like this is some franchise destroying move is all that accurate. Its a pretty weak draft and if you feel like this is the guy i wouldnt pull my hair out over it.

If they love him, which who knows if they do, that's not bad at all to give up. You get the guy who think can be a difference maker.

lol, there is a huge gap between Jack and Lee.

lol, Gene Smith has arrived people
As much as I like Jack, no way I'd give up anything higher than a 5th round pick to move up. Jags can end up with a potential starter in the 4th round such as an interior lineman. There is still a good chance he will be available at the 5th pick and if Dallas takes him the Jags would still get either Bosa or Ramsay.

The magic number for us is 2. We need 2 offensive players to be taken in the top 4. That ensures us one of the big three of Ramsey/Bosa/Jack.

Agreed
If the first two picks are Bosa and Ramsey, we can:

A. Hope Jack is still there at pick #5.

B. Take Tunsil if he's there at 5

C. Take Buckner if he's there at 5

D. Try to trade down if Jack is not there at 5

E. Trade a later round pick to San Diego for their #3 pick and take Myles Jack thus ensuring that we get the player we want.

E. actually makes a lot of sense if the price isn't too high.

B and C would be pretty lame.
Chargers would take Tunsil I'd have to imagine if he's there. Isn't their OL terrible?

Think Buckner fits better than Bosa for SD and DAL too from what I've heard. I think Bosa will be around for our pick. I think Tunsil, qb and or buckner go top 4 honestly. Buckner is an elite 5t talent. I'd love him for the Jags if we didn't have Odrick.

Not really, it was terrible last year cause they had 4 starters injured but it's not bad when healthy. They just gave Dunlap a long term deal last year for LT and they just gave Barksdale a long term deal for RT a couple of weeks ago.

Obviously Tunsil is still an upgrade so it would be a popular pick, but it's not necessarily a given that they would take Tunsil either.

I could easily see them taking Tunsil, Ramsey or Buckner.  Bosa...a possibility but less likely than the three listed earlier.
We will be drafting BAP. Watching the recent interviews with Gus and Dave, it seems like they were happy with FA and now can focus on the BAP. We won't trade up to get Myles Jack.
