Quote:Ray Lewis dropped because of character concerns, not because of a knee injury.
Speaking of which, I think Spence is the best pass rusher out there by far, but has character concerns. He should be in play in a trade back scenario.
I never said Lewis fell due to a knee injury.
But Lewis fell in part due to character, but more due to size.
Quote:I believe this is our last time drafting in the top 5 for the foreseeable future so best to stay put (barring nightmare scenario of Ramsey/Bosa/Jack being off the board). We need to come out of this draft with an impact, game changing type defensive player.
I'm starting to like Hargreaves. Amukamara is often injured, plus he's on a one year contract, and besides, you can never get enough good cover guys.

I wonder about Hargreaves last two games.
He looked really bad against Alabama and Michigan.
If both qb's are there when it's our time, I can pretty much say with certainty that we will get offers to trade down. The real question is, how far are you willing to drop?
Quote:Yeah.
I'm a Gator fan and never understood all of the Hargreaves hype. He was a good CB, but not special.
Yeah I think that's kinda how most feel about VH3, he'll probably be good but not special. I think Ramsey and WJ3 are the only potentially special CBs in this draft.

He could end up being a bigger Terrell Buckley.
He could be feast or famine-either giving up big plays or making a few of his own, stick around for 7-10 years and have a decent career.
Had he not had those two bad games to close out last year, I'd feel better about him. But he was beaten badly by a freshman against Alabama, and Michigan tuned him up pretty good too.
He was beaten deep too. Looked like he could get muscled by bigger receivers.

If both QBs are there AND Jack/Ramsey/Bosa are gone, then I would trade down but I would want a lot. Especially if we move down to 15 with the Rams.
I don't wanna trade down if one of the big 3 are still there.

Second best cornerback on that team last year.

I'm assuming that Tunsil and those 3 would be the first 3 gone, if no qb's are taken. If we swap with the Rams, I'd want their first 3 picks. I'd use one of those picks on Jaylon with the hopes that he comes back close to 100%. If that were to happen, it would be a huge score.

All that is saying is how good Tabor is. Florida has put out some good corners over the years and Hargreaves and Tabor might be the 2 best

Treadwell said as much earlier this offseason.

Thats because Tabor shut him down in the Florida vs Ole Miss game laat year
Quote:Treadwell said as much earlier this offseason.
Treadwell was asked what CBs gave him the most trouble and he said "the guy from Florida, not Vernon Hargreaves though" because Tabor covered him for most of the game not VH3.
