Im sure thats what Pats fans saaid about Jones. Guess we can just wait a year to get them then. Either lose them now or in a year. Especially Ansah im sure he wants to leave Detroit.

The Lions have the 5th year option with Ziggy Ansah in 2017. Unlike with the issues Chandler Jones had off the field, Ziggy Ansah has been terrific on and off the field. There's nothing that indicates he wants to leave Detroit. Ansah led the way in Lions efforts to distribute water to people in Flint, MI. Along with Darius Slay, he's the foundation of the Lions Defense moving forward. Slay likely will sign a contract extension before the start of the 2016 regular season, There's no current plan to rebuild anytime soon. Not with a 90 year old owner. Even if the Lions did rebuild in 2017 or 2018, it very likely would be with Ansah and Slay.

Where are you getting your information from or is this just pure speculation?
The Eagles are not letting Cox go. That man is an animal.

The alcosensor reading on this post was clearly over the legal limit.
Only guys up there that seem somewhat realistic are Avril and Young.
Cameron Jordan or Jordan Cameron?

Perry was a free agent this year and seemed to garner minimal interest from anyone
We'd need to give up at least a first round and second round pick for Ansah, guy is a beast.

Imagine we had Ansah instead of Joeckel... Missed on that one

At least KC and MIA did too, it wasn't just us. That draft just sucked though. Only a handful of guys in the first round that have lived up to their draft position. Seeing how Monroe declined and struggled with our scheme, it seemed like a pretty good decision to draft Joeckel, but unfortunately he hasn't developed into what everyone expected.

There's no way the Lions are letting go of Ziggy Ansah
I highly doubt the Saints part ways with Jordan, he's like the only productive member of that front 7
Cliff Avril is a realistic target, I could see the Jags parting ways with Joeckel and (potentially a draft pick) for Cliff
Fletcher Cox isn't going anywhere, the Eagles will lock him up. He also plays the same position we just signed Malik to play
Willie Young is coming off one of the worst injuries an athletic can sustain, an Achilles tear. I'm not sure if/when he'll get his "explosiveness" back
Nick Perry just re-upped with Green Bay on a "prove it" deal, they aren't trading him
I love how we're bundling Joeckel up and trading him off for a pass rush guy.
His replacement is coming back from an ACL injury suffered 5 months ago. He may not even be ready for training camp or the start of the season. But we're going to trade Joeckel just the same.
Joeckel has little to no trade value based on his play since entering the league. The value in a trade deal including him and a draft pick would be the draft pick. On that list, the only possible trade option that's realistic is Avril, and I don't see the team giving up high value draft picks for a guy who is 30 years old. If he were to somehow wind up hitting the street? The Jags would no doubt be first in line to talk.
I don't see pass rush help coming via trade this year. They'll have to identify someone in the draft, and then wait to see who gets released as teams pare down their rosters to 53.
I have heard the guys on 1010XL say on numerous occasions that Avril has said that he promised his father he would't play past 10 years in the NFL. Now guys can always change their mind, but you can't trade a high pick for a guy that might not play in a year.

Being that Cliff Avril has already been in two Super Bowls, with one Super Bowl win, from a team accomplishment perspective it's easy to picture Avril stick with the plan you mentioned that he wouldn't play more than 10 seasons. A 10 year NFL career as a former 3rd Round pick is much more than most former 3rd Round picks achieve.
If Cadwell trades and lands cox he is one of the greatest gms of all time. There is no way the Eagles let him go.

Cam Jordan too. They had him on the block last year.
Oh if were throwing insane unrealistic names out there why not just get Von Miller since the Broncos can't pay him haha
