I really get this feeling that Bortles vs Carr will be the next manning vs Brady. Probably not in stats, but in the epic playoff battles to go to multiple super bowls.
They have Jack, we have Gus.  I wonder how that will play out.

Teal, Gold and Black vs the Silver and Black.

This is going to be fun and the Hits will just keep on coming.

That draft's impact was much more than just the 1st and 2nd round.

A top 10 QB and a top 10 WR in the same damn draft. I don't care if we could have had x. We got our players and I love them
Carr vs Bortles is the new Manning vs Brady.......yea I said it!

There are some really good teams out there. GB isn't going anywhere. PIT is always good no matter what. CAR is young and dangerous. I wouldn't say it's Jags/Raiders for the Super Bowl beyond 2020.

Guys get hurt, obviously things change. Future looks bright but I wouldn't set either into the playoffs until it happens.
Carr vs Bortles. Never thought this would be as excited as it is

And yours stinks.
These ' knowledgeable' talking heads have predicted about 20 of the last 2 comeback stories. After a dozen or so ' high expectations' which turned into high disappointments, I'm solidly in the wait-and-see mode. We're 0-0 as of right now.........tied for first.

And last.

Arguably, the best draft we've had since the expansion.
Quote:Bortles/Carr

Robinson/Cooper

Fowler/Mack

We've done almost identical drafting as far as philosophy goes. They're pretty even with us except for Mack > Fowler, but that's because we don't know what we have in Fowler, not taking anything away from Mack, he's awesome. But, I would say Bortles and Carr are a push and Robinson > Cooper. So, complain if you like because you do certainly like, but it's remarkably even.

This

If Fowler is anywhere near as good as mack we are the better roster

He is the difference maker right now
Quote:I think 2017 looks better than 2016 for playoffs.  At that point either Gus Bradley will have shown himself to be worthy of the patience Khan has had, or he'll be shown the door.  Our younger players will have more experience under their belts.  And we'll have had another draft.  But yeah, I think we're starting to finally rise.
Agreed, 2017 looks like a more likely playoff year than 2016. I want to point out though that 'experience' and 'another draft' apply to all the other NFL teams too so they aren't really pro's in out favor.

Not the ones in the midst of a regime change.  And definitely not the Browns.

Not every team has a young core of players who will benefit from experience nor does every team have the cap room to make significant upgrades through free agency. Many teams are stuck relying on older players which another year for them means losing another step.
