Skuta as a pass rusher.

NO FREAKING KIDDING.

I thought we were beyond our cellar years of thinking our below average players (in NFL terms) are good.

Remember when people used to think Justin Durant was a stud, Jerrett Dilliard would be a good starter, and we just sured up our defensive line with the 2010 draft that brought in Alualu, D'Anthony Thomas, Larry Hart and Austin Lane with our 1st 4 picks.
At this point why not try it there's not a ton more choices and he can "compete" ( :whistling: ) with the new rookies we'll assuredly bring in.

BTW: Every time I hear the name "Skuta" it makes me think of Arnold Schwarzenegger trying to pronounce Scooter.

"It's not a skuta!"

Yes.

I believe he could be.

But I feel that if our interior d line plays even CLOSE to it's potential next year. ...

Every leo we put o. The field will have successfully snaps
The Gerhart of linebackers? Sure...
Missing pass rusher? Wasn't he on the team last year lol.

What the hell were they waiting for?
Quote:If so, wouldn't they have tried it last year at some point?
That would require adjustments. And that was too complicated for our coaching staff.
Skuta our missing pass rusher?

He was missing last year at pass rusher.

So, I don't really see why he can't carry the trend next season, too.

He may help a little and by a little I mean not at all.

Our pass rush will depend primarily on Marks, Jackson, and Fowler.

When Telvin played his role on the other side of OLB he played way better than Skuta did last season as a Jaguar.

Granted Telvin Smith is really special, but I wasn't thrilled with Skuta's lack of stopping the run or getting after the QB... maybe he'll improve this year... i dunno.
