Quote:Yeah, I wasn't a 100% sure, but I had Ramsey mocked to the Jags last season. This year I have Fournette.

Even if Solomon Thomas is available, I still have us taking Fournette.

For the record, I think fournette is going to be the pick as well.

I'd be happy with Thomas, Howard, Adams, or Allen as well as long as the jags don't think his arthritis will have any impact for at least 5 years.

You opened a thread last year in which you were guaranteeing we would have taken Shawn Oakman (yes, Shawn Oakman) at 5 last year. A baller with the attitude we needed on our Dline LOL.

I will never forget that, sorry. Big Grin (I don't mean this in a offensive way, but it was such a crazy prediction and you were so much into it that it's not easy to forget that)

Honestly I didn't say we would pick him. I said a scout claimed that he could go in the top 5.

I'm not offended. And I promise I'm not trying to be Mr know it all. But yeah that was funny. Oakman turned out to be a head case.

For the record, I can get onboard with the drafting of Bob Marley at 4.
so just another opinion written and stated as fact...

The average college running back has to face 7 or fewer defenders in the box 70% of the time.

In 2016 Fournette faced a box with 7 or fewer in it only 33% of the time. Basically means he faced a 8 man box 70% of the time in 2016.

Not a Fournette fan but found this interesting nonetheless.
That is an interesting stat, but not too surprising.  They maybe have a couple of people on that offense that could stick to a team, but he was  their entire offense.

Its funny Fournette avg 6.5 ypc last year, which is the same as when he almost rushed for 2000 yards the year before, difference is he had 170 less carries, but people say that he had a down year.

He really wanst down, he just didnt play as much due to injury

It's because of the QB , the wide receivers they had are very talented

Their O-line didn't seem too impressive either, but I hadn't watched their WRs much.  Guessing they are declaring next year.

They're in this years draft, Travin Dural and Malachi Dupre. The QB was so bad he completely limited how good they would have been in college.
Oh wow, I'll have to look them up, hadn't even heard of them.

Think Dural only had 300 yards or so this year. Both really talented though.
I haven't wanted the Jaguars to draft a RB in the first round in the past decade, but this year is different for me.  Fournette is a different monster.  Hopefully that translates.

That is interesting. Someone pointed out that the teams he faced were for the most part not among the better run defenses, but having to face 8 men in the box most of the time basically negates that.

Teams playing against LSU were not worried about their passing game. That's for sure.
Who is going to provide that running start for Fournette?
