Just watched an Interview with with Terrance Knighton and he said he wouldn't mind coming back to Jacksonville. Would it be another good signing if we get him to come back or has his wonder years past him?

If he still had gas in the tank, JDR would have scooped him up in OAK.

Valid point.
I love Pot Roast, but every team he has been on hasn't resigned him for a reason.

We have a better version of him in Roy Miller III.

Think I'd have to pass.....also agree that JDR would have already signed him as well if anything there.

I stopped caring about Pot Roast when he wouldn't keep his weight down and was out of shape nonstop here.

I thought he was saying that in reference to Denver, not us. At least that's what he said on NFLN.
Miller > Knighton.

PR showed his colors here, we're moving on.

I think Knighton had a chance to be a special player but could not keep himself in shape for that.

But his size and natural talent help keep him in the league.

He is a nose tackle and will move from team to team. But will stay employed for a few more years.

He's getting to that age where his weight is really going to become a problem. Or maybe I should say his movement at his weight.

Also, I don't see the JDR thing. It always seemed to me that Potroast kinda irked him.
Funny you should say that, I had thought that too at one point. I wondered then if it was b/c the "Pot Roast" name and subsequent attention detracted a little from Hollywood Jack and that he might have resented it a little. A stretch, I know, but I remember thinking along those lines.

Thank you. Not to bring up old beef, but you were pretty adamant about him being a top tier DT just last offseason. The guy is a good run stopper, but I dont think he can manage his weight well enough to make it a full 16 weeks in the league. Not to mention some of the health risks for both team and player that being out of shape presents. Its a shame, but hes a journeyman at this point.

I blame Gene Smith personally. That man could rub a bar of gold and turn it into solid poo.

I was thinking more like how he had to keep him out of the beginning of at least two training camps because of conditioning issues. But yeah, I never saw Potroast as a JDR fave.

The thing about Pot Roast is there's always more of him at the end of the contract than there was at the beginning.
