Are you guys okay with shelling out big bucks for someone at that age?  Is he really that good?

Ha Waddle  :teehee:

No and isn't the rangy FS our defense needs
I'm sorry. Weddle. It's Monday, what can I say?

Just busting your balls man.

I would take him for a year or two stop gap maybe.
DiRocco, the Jags ESPN writer, thinks he's the player the Jags are most likely to sign.

I had an English teacher my sophomore year in high school that waddled. She was much older than 31 tho!

Saw a tweet saying he wants a super bow ring. So I doubt it!
It makes me feel old at 32 when you question someone at 31 being too old.

It's a young man's game. The point for me was when no one I went to college with was playing pro sports anymore.

I know right! I'm 33, 34 in July and I feel old stating a person younger than I am is old. I catch myself doing it for soccer as well.
I'm not a fan of this signing; unless it's constructed like Beadles and Clemons were. I think we should go heavy at Gipson.

GO JAGS!!

Nah, he's old and he'll go to the Patriots because he's white with a beard and he wants a chance at a super bowl.
My gut is that they aren't able to sign Weddle.  I am reading his interest is in teams such as Panthers, Patriots, and other established contenders.

He still can play and would bring experience, stability and leadership to the secondary. With all the hype about Ramsay, I think he'll be a Cowboy or Charger so the Jags would be wise to sign someone at this position in free agency.

Exactly. We most likely wont get Ramsey and im not sure we want a rookie starting at that spot anyway. He would be great for a year or two while we develop a Karl Joseph or Ramsey if he falls to us.
Maybe they want him as just a stop gap because they have their eye on someone in the draft maybe, but who wouldn't be ready right away to take the starting spot?

Maybe for a RB. Not for most positions really.
He's the perfect candidate to be a Jag. Obviously he's not a long term solution at the position, but in turn it nets Caldwell a couple of years to find a long term replacement.

I truly believe we'll begin to see a B.A.P.drafting philosophy going forward. Considering that our offense is so young and dangerous, it's almost a certainty that our defense will need some veterans.

IMO...Mario Williams, Bruce Irving, and Eric Weddle should be our free agents; front loaded of course. Everyone else is second fiddle.

Then B.A.P @5
