This guy is a really good, young (turns 26 later this month)
playmaking safety, he's excelled in both the free and strong safety role and is effective in both coverage in run support. At 6'4 225 lbs he'd give the Jags secondary an "intimidation" factor similar to how Kam Chancellor effects the Seattle secondary. He was coached by the best DB coach in football (Mike Zimmer) for a number of years so you know he's technically sound, it wouldn't surprise me if Iloka is high on the Jags wish list, he could be a difference maker at the SS role and also offers value as a FS. Expect him to get paid next week.
I'd be really surprised if he doesn't join the Vikings. Great signing if we can get him.

I expect this as well, although the Jags could easily win a financial "bidding war" with a team like the Vikings.
I just moved back from Cincinnati and had the pleasure to meet this guy when I was there. He was taking pictures with kids for Marvin Lewis "learning is cool" program. My daughter got her picture taken with him. She is 8 and was being shy and George started joking with her to get her to smile. He really seems like a genuine, smart, nice guy. He is also a heck of a football player!

They did just re-up one of their safeties for 4 years/ $16 million today. Not sure if that's a sign that Iloka may be too expensive for their tastes or not.
That said, I would be all for Iloka in teal.
I said this a few times, but if we want the closest thing there is to our Kam Chancellor we'll go after Iloka. I don't want him playing center field for us, but man he would be perfect for our SS. I think Dave and Gus already envision Sample being that type of player though so I'm not sure they'd be ready to give up on that experiment.

Andrew Senedjo is pretty bad ,I don't think he'll be starting for them come September. Wouldn't be surprised if Bengals resign him either. Losing your entire starting secondary usually doesn't bode well for the next season.

I don't think he's that good either, but it's a bit odd to pay a reserve/special teamer $4million per season. It's tough to read what's going on with teams right now, but I could see Minnesota being told Iloka is looking for more money than they're willing to pay and they decided to retain Sendejo because of that. Like you said, it could just be that they want to pay a special teamer $16million over 4 years too.

Good few vikings fan confused by it also. Suppose it covers them at safety no matter what happens in FA.
Edit: 16 mil is if he reaches all incentives. Which he won't.
Sendejo is garbage, I highly doubt the Viking bring in lloka with Harrison Smith there, the name I've heard rumored to them is Reggie Nelson.
Offered 4 years 6 million a year by the Vikings. Great fit there with Harrison. Gives Zimmer lots of options.

Among other teams, the Lions, Falcons, and Giants also reportedly expressed interest in George Iloka in the first hour of the pre FA window period. At the very least, the Mike Zimmer factor certainly helps the Vikings in this case and with other former Bengals Defensive players:

But it seems the Lions will have some competition to secure Iloka's services. The Falcons, Giants and Vikings have also reached out in the first hour of negotiations, and the Bengals are expected to make a push to re-sign him as well according to the Enquirer
He should be our second strongest pursuit outside of whatever pass rusher theyre going for but we wont cause were dumb
Malik is about to get a trillion and that secondary is still gonna get torched
I'd rather have reggie. Never could get with that exotic name. Don't even know how to pronounce it. (Eye-Low-Kuh)?
