Beadles seems like a good guy off the field. It's unfortunate he didn't work out here.

The only thing saving Joeckel is being a top 3 pick. If he wasn't then the guy would be replaced already. Look for them to draft a guy to compete in the middle rounds.

Yeah, I'm just bringing up that a lot of the sacks was caused by Blake as well. Wiz and Beadles weren't good, but could have been avoided. Then again, maybe some of the big plays we had wouldn't have happened if Blake doesn't buy time. Regardless, an upgrade is needed in the interior.
Joeckel is safe, and he can get better. He's pretty athletic but still needs to add strength, IMO. Hopefully having Cann or Linder next to him will solidify that left side.
It's obvious Dave is not going to ignore the OL. If I was a GM I would draft an OLman each year whether I needed one or not.

At this point in his career, the "one game" is the problem.
Had he not completely, not partially, but completely blown the game... I'd feel completely different about it.
Again, at this point in his career, you have a few bad plays. Not a bad entire game.

Poor Blake, man he's taking a beating for the last two years...
Him and Joeckel were issues all season. Beadles seemed to be incapable of turning his hips with defenders. He could handle a bull rush but any left to right moves and he was gone.
We are lucky Blake is an escape artist with him and Joeckel on the left side.
On Joeckel : At this point i think the texans game actually gave people a single game to point at and has somehow made us feel like the rest couldnt have been as bad. Now its "only the texans game stands out as horrid" and "it was just one game" . Joeckel was beaten outside without the assistaance of Zane Beadles all season long. Maybe not direct sacks as blake can still get the ball out being hit or escape sure sacks but the amount of pressures,scrambles and hits the Joke allowed was unbelievable. Regardless of draft position or the league wide talent level at LT neither of which mean squat Joeckel sucked badly last year and has sucked throughout his time here and should not be safe.

Both Wiz and Beadles looked terrible that play. Heck, Yeldon, our rookie RB, outshone them. I don't think either was a bust as far as a signing, though Beadles was overpaid, but neither was a great signing, just stopgap guys.
