The other night I was driving home and some national show was playing on 1010Xl and they were talking about how Bridgewater so far looks like the best QB from the class. They were talking about how they weren't sold on Carr or Bortles yet... I almost drove off the road.

I was talking to a friend who said they would rather have Teddy because "Bortles hasn't really done anything for the Jaguars yet"
I just said, "ok"
I love Bortles and he will out perform the 2014 QB class but as of now no. Bridgewater only threw 14TD because he had AP. He also has a high completion rating. I understand why they didn't pick Bortles because he played from behind and threw more interceptions. Once we get the run game going and a better defense Bortles numbers will likely drop and his interceptions will drop as well.

Maybe his completion % was inflated by teams being forced to stack the box against AP. Did Bortles have that luxury when playing from behind so often with a significantly worse run game?
Bridgewater threw 14 TDs but 9 INTs. that is not good.
Bridgewater is trash. He opened a few analysts eyes last season with another 14 TD season. I expect everyone to wake up next season when he throws for another 14 or 15 TDs.

Media wants so badly to 'prove' to us an AA QB can be great that they don't care how he plays -- they just continue the narrative and hope we ignore what we see on the field.
