Quote:Bow was drafted to play center in a zone blocking scheme which has since been practically abandoned by a new coordinator. They are hoping to make him a back-up tackle. Remains to be seen if it will work.
Best Case - Joeckel tweaks a hammy and Bowanko comes in and plays lights out at LT.
Worst case - We have our new Austin Pasztor that can also play center and doesn't walk around saying "Hodor." In other words... good depth.
This. Bowanko really has talent more suited to a second tier tackle than a first tier center, but they have to decide long term which body type he should be developing. Linder could've been an ok tackle, but now they've built him to be a first tier guard and his playing out there isn't even a consideration. Bowanko could be the guy at center, but if they commit to that it would remove any chance of his playing tackle.

Bowanko only started in his rookie year because the centre situation was a mess. McClendon and those other guys stunk.

Quote:Why? Britton was a second rounder. Sixth rounders don't hang around long, and certainly aren't usually penciled in as starters. If they make the team.Says Tom Brady. I was talking about his potential not where he was drafted.
