Stop it. Where did i complain in this thread?
And if the Dolphins free up cap space, only to splurge it all on Williams, where does that leave their hopes of keeping Vernon?

Or is this just a contingency for them, in case Vernon won't re-sign?

Jaguars are one of the teams in the mix for Mario Williams, who wrapped his visit with the Dolphins. No visit set up there or with NYG yet.

He's visiting the Giants tonight and tomorrow according to PFT.

Mentioned Mario Williams is set to visit #Giants... It is expected to happen soon, but the day isn't firmed up yet. Some things to work out

So maybe something happened between his camp and New York.

where lol
@pfrumors Mario Williams could meet with #Jaguars before #Giants. Team still in on Charles Johnson. https://t.co/JpZ7ToHPVi | https://t.co/AWxZTyHDXr
Come on football Gods, just let Mario visit and sign tomorrow. It'd be an awesome start to the offseason, plus it's probably help to lure more free agents here on Wednesday. Our amount of cap space can build us a fierce defense over night.
I didn't think Dave would be interested. He's really going for it this year
Vernon, Williams means(means no Jackson). Maybe Travethon, Irvin and Jenkins, Gipson and Mack.

I'd like Osemele too

You can't possibly believe we get all those guys.

Every year people think there respective team is going to throw the house for every free agent that hits the market. Most of the time, fans are left disappointed. Draft is what is really important. However, given the Jaguars circumstances, especially on defense, and the need to win now for this coaching staff, it would be no surprise if the Jaguars were more aggressive than usual. I like the idea of adding a few veterans who have more than just a little left in the tank. Defense could use some leadership and actual talent, guys like Mario Williams and Weddle are the first that come to mind. Ironically, both play positions where the Jaguars have the biggest voids in talent, and both positions are the two most important for Gus's defense to work.

1. Mack

2. Weddle

3. Mario Williams

Mack will be expensive, I'm sure Williams won't be cheap either, Weddle I'm not sure how much he actually gets. He probably gets more money coming to Jacksonville, but he may be tempted to go to a playoff caliber team to end his career. We shall see. Both Williams and Weddle are great scheme fits, seasoned veterans but not old enough yet to where its just collecting a last paycheck ( see Chris Clemons). Also, dont give me the "well Mario only had 5 sacks last year". Williams kinda got screwed over in Rex's scheme where he played outside linebacker for the entire season. He's a 4-3 DE and the year before last, had 16 sacks. Williams for 2 to 3 seasons would bring an element to the defense we have not seen....ever.

If you were asking me, I would rather throw the wallet at Mario Williams for 2 to 3 seasons then over pay for Vernon, who may be young and have potential, but will have to seriously overpay for a player who is not even near the caliber that Mario Williams is, yet will get payed more.

Thats 8 guys. good guys. Quite the wishlist, I admit. I'd be happy with any 4 of those guys

I have no doubt we will go after each of them, but I think to expect more than 2, maybe 3 of them would be highly unlikely. There's a ton of cap space out there, yes we have more than anyone bit that doesn't mean we can get everyone we want.

The most reasonable and likely result is 2, maybe 3 good to very good pieces and a few decent guys that may have upside but aren't household names yet/more depth pieces.

Just going to hate this place in a few days. Some of these wishlists are insane.
