Quote:I can only assume so, given the number of posts I see with "adding to the stable of x, y, Robinson, and z," and those thinking we don't need an RB at all.

Yeldon needs a backup, and I would rather that not be Robinson or Gerhart.

That means we've got to add new blood.

I see.  I just don't read that far into a list of RBs on the roster in February. Robinson gets included by default for me - because he's here until he's not. Which might be in August, or 2023.  Listing him isn't saying he makes the final roster.

(Also - there was a thread in which Denard was heavily panned as "done in Jax" at season's end in response to his bad hands.)

I like the idea of an upgrade at #2 RB, I just don't like the idea of a high pick to land one.

I'm cautiously optimistic on Gray and besides a couple of aging "ring chasers," I'm also not biting on the "no one wants to come here" narrative regarding FA backs. Money talks, and Dave's going to spend some. One of these guys will be offered a deal.
Oh, I remember the thread well.  It was one of the last games of the season where he coughed up the ball again and again.

That's why I was surprised folks haven't written him off more.  I get coming into the season since he's not cut yet, but adding a player (which I feel we should) virtually assures it.

Agree on not drafting one high.

But if there's a guy high on our board that falls into a place where the value pushes the issue... I'm all for that.

Unless you have a Peterson, it's really a stable of backs in today's NFL.  It helped Cincy having both Hill and Bernard.  Both starting caliber backs.  One early second, the other late second.

Where we're selecting in each round, I wouldn't be opposed to a third rounder but with the defensive and OL woes I could understand why others would disagree.  I just would rather we pick up another Yeldon value pick than a Gratz in the third round.  I think another Yeldon would help more than say another Gratz.

A far as FA interests, I'd hope they'd be more focused towards OL and defense than RB.  But again, if there's value there, there's no reason not to.

Ud take Michael he us super fast.
I would take Michael he is super fast.
I rather Dave keep his eyes out in the UDFA class. Spend the 4-7 round picks on offensive linemen.

I like that your second post was on the "sober" setting.
