Draft

1. Myles Jack LB, UCLA

2. Noah Spence DE, Eastern Kentucky

7. Brandon Allen QB, Arkansas

Yes I have Noah Spence falling to the 2nd rd, I think in light of Gregory's suspension it puts Spence in a bad spot and Dline is a strong point in the draft. Also Joseph falls to the 3rd. He didnt play but a couple of games in 2015 and wasnt as good in 2014 His limited play slides him to the 3rd round. I know there will be a comment that Spence wont fall to the 2nd round, but things happen unexpectedly every year, ask Randy Gregory.

I have the Jaguars cashing in. There are just so many options at each position the Jaguars could get a lot of top level players. DE there is Mario, Muhammad, Olivier, and Malik. CB there is Smith, Janoris, Trumaine, and Antonio. Safety there is Reggie, Eric, Tashaun, and Rashad Johnson. Just so many options for the Jags to choose from and that taking out the ones predicted to be franchised or resigned.
The doctor hooked you up with some of those extra strong happy pills didn't he.

Not really a mock offseason just looking at guys to target and ideas on what positions to go after. I realize it is basically impossible. If I made a more realistic one It would be a Jack, Floyd, Darian Thompson 1,2,3.

and after the Fowler thread this site kinda needs a happy pill.

It would be an absolute dream scenario, but there's no way Spence is there in the second.

 - If Caldwell signs (FA) at least two guys that upgrade their position on defense -

    - AND he lands two more potential long term defensive starters in the draft-

      - AND any three of those ^ guys are a pass rusher a CB2, and a free safety, then......

I'm happy.

He may be able to do more, and I hope he does, but those things will make a huge impact.

The 2015 Jags lost games in which they scored 23, 25, 27 and 31 points.  That's 4 games in which the defense let them down.

Upgrades at LEO, FS and CB2 (along with Marks and Fowler) will go a long way toward flipping the script in those games.
