If there's one thing I've learned from watching the NFL, it's that taking a broke 22-year-old with drug, alcohol or behavioral problems and giving him tons of money usually doesn't make him any less likely to abuse drugs or alcohol, or to stop being a behavioral problem.
No to Spence. Not in the first three rounds. If he's there in four, sure, draft him and humble him with a "one slip and you're gone" ultimatum, but he won't be there in four. Some idiot GM will say, "Well it looks like he's been clean for a while, so he must be safe," and draft him in the top ten. Then, boom. Blackmon all over again.
