Quote:Ok fine I'll do this too:
1. Jalen Ramsey
2. Ryan Kelly
3. Sterling Shepard
4. Javon Hargrave
Ramsey is obvious. My #1 wish for the Jags this draft.
Ryan Kelly only allowed 1 sack, 8 pressures, and 1 penalty in his career 1,012 snaps...unbelievably impressive against SEC competition. Just draft him and forget about the interior of our line for the next decade. Linder/Cann/Kelly is drool worthy. Forget about 10+ mil/yr for a 30 year old Mack.
We all know I've been probably the lowest guy here on Marqise Lee since before we wound up drafting him either. Getting a potential 1st round WR who's skills would excel in the slot like Shepard's would in the 3rd round would be amazing. Could have gone Karl Joseph but already got Ramsey. Sheldon Day was the other tempting guy.
Hargrave excelled after replacing Rankins at the senior bowl. Would be (and still might) an easy 2nd rounder in a class that wasn't so deep at DT.
I highly doubt we go offense in 2 of the first 3 rounds.
Most likely we will go defense in the first 3 rounds and maybe 4. And taking a WR? Doubt that.
Quote:Yuck...
I'd go
1: Myles Jack LB
2: Robert Nkemdiche DT
3: Karl Joseph S
4: Sebastian Tretola G
Looking back on my picks, the one concern would be 3 rookies (Jack, Fowler, and Joseph) all coming off knee injuries. That could be risky.

I don't think we will either, but I'm not boxing myself in a corner. We need a C, and I think we also need a slot WR. Getting a possible 1st round WR in the 3rd is too good to pass up on.
If we get Fowler back and a FA haul that includes another DE like Mario Williams and a CB like Hayward or Smith (in addition to filling the FS hole with Ramsey)...why not be open to filling some offensive holes in the draft?

I still like Rashad Greene as our future slot. But I wouldn't complain about a Shepard pick.
Quote:Chad has us taking a TE in round 3.
Ok....
I don't have a problem taking a TE in the 3rd since most teams use 2 TE sets when in short yardage situations but this assume we fill a lot of defensive needs in Free Agency. I could see the Jags signing as many as 4 defensive starters in free agency which then give Caldwell a lot of freedom in the draft.
