When it comes to running and receiving combined, Matt Forte has certainly been one of the best RBs in the NFL during his 8 seasons with the Bears. I consider him a highly respected opponent. Even at this stage of his NFL career, Forte should be an asset for a team even if he's no longer the # 1 RB for the team he plays with.

Depends on how he expects to be paid.
He will most likely be a Patriot. This just seems like some the Pats would do.

This wouldn't surprise me in the least. The list of highly accomplished RBs elsewhere ending up with the Patriots in the last 15 years is long.
Interesting.
His age and mileage are a concern, but if his role is that of a spell-back with a "pitch count," it might make sense.
If he doesn't beat out Jonas Grey in camp/preseason then we know his tank is empty and we move ahead with the best of the rest.
(I personally feel pretty good about Yeldon/Grey/Robinson/Grant if we see the expected upgrade to Wiz/Beadles in the interior line)

The age factor and the RB position of the current era being devalued financially probably will keep Matt Forte from getting the type of offer that he's seeking. Yet, I do believe Forte will get a contract that reflects the team he signs with expecting him to have at least a couple of more productive seasons. I don't anticipate a contract close to the NFL Veteran Minimum.

An incentive for Matt Forte to sign with the Jaguars could well be the Jaguars being on the Bears 2016 schedule. Forte has great memories from his days with the Bears but he likely wants to demonstrate to their current team brass they made a mistake by moving on w/o him.
I'd love to see Forte on the Jags. He's pretty much all our running backs wrapped in one. Yes he has mileage, but we'll have depth here with him, Yeldon, Gray, Grant, etc.
His blocking skills and receiving would be a great asset to BB5
No disrespect to Forte, he's a great back and a great player. But there's a reason why the Bears aren't resigning him. If he's not looking for a crazy contract, I'd be ok with bringing him in. But we have more pressing needs than RB; and our depth isn't bad as is. At his age, he's looking for a proven team to get into the playoffs and possibly play for the championship; i.e. not us...
GO JAGS!!

I just thought I remembered something about him being upset about his lack of carries with the Bears last year. If that is/was the case he may think he's worth more.
Maybe my memory is faulty.
He will expect to be a starter and has the leeway to make less to try and chase a ring. I don't see the Jags involved in getting him at all.
On February 5, Forte told NFL Network's Lindsay Rhodes that "it ain't about the money ... I'm trying to get a Super Bowl."
Welp, can turn that page. Just sign Lance Dunbar and forget it.

What up with your love fest for Lance Dunbar lol?

Yeah I am interested in knowing what this is about. I didn't watch Dunbar play so I could be completely in the dark about a pretty good player.

hes an undrafted RB coming of an ACL injury that never really looked that good behind the best oline in football. Ill pass

He seems like Corey Grant with slightly better hands and a bit less speed. And of course, the knee thing.
I don't dislike the player at all, but I think we already have one of those on the roster.

Has anyone checked his spider chart?

He was probably the second best 3rd down/pass catching back in the league last year after Dion Lewis.

In the 4 games he played last year?
