Maybe it is just me but I Was not impressed at all by the commercials this year.

Watching it here in the UK, we had it on Sky Sports and BBC... if you watch it on BBC, there are no commercials...

 

I watched in on Sky Sports though, I prefer their coverage/commentary.

It's like Mountain Dews focus groups couldn't define a clear character to hawk their product -  so they use all of them.  At the same time.

This was the best ad of the night. Hands down. Of course I was a bottle of wine into the evening when I saw it, but even so, GOAT.

I could have been a full bottle of tequila down at that point and still wouldn't have thought it was a good idea!! Lol

Either the event has lost its prestige as the countrys primo ad time or the best ad minds in corporate americas ad departments have lost the few marbles they had. Sad really I remember getting assignments based on the SB ads.


Maybe they have realized everyone is half crocked and its just not worth it.


Oh and Btw I think this is nfl at large worthy if the halftime show is.

I thought they should have a cut to a scene of an empty Jacksonville elementary school. Then one in Cleveland and so on.

It was pretty skeevy. I mean, I know it happens when troops return from deployments but there is no SB game that would give me the idea to procreate soon after. Actually there is nothing that would give me reason to do so. I leave that to others.

I remember many years ago some woman's group or something created a commercial about the rates of domestic violence going up during and after the super bowl. I could do without the thought of someone banging one out or beating someone up while I'm watching the game, thank you very much!!

I think you are right! I don't remember one go See Alice commercial this year.


Most of the commercials this year had the same vibe as that one year where just about every commercial was from a dot.com start up, that spent millions on a super bowl commercial and were out of business six months later!!
