I finished watching tonight's Democrat debate which I enjoyed the format CNN presented (like a Town Forum). It seemed obvious to me that Hilary Clinton was coached in a way to sound more personnel to the average voter, which is something her people had publicly stated she wanted to do many of months ago. She came off genuine this time and not as scripted which should help her out in the polls.
I thought to myself about how much both parties (Democrat & GOP) have changed over the decades including their stances on certain topics.
It almost seems like the Republicans have moved left and became very moderate Republicans borderline Democrats with candidates in this race that were former Democrats (including the leader Donald Trump). On the other hand the Democrats have moved so far left that they are turning into a Socialist / Communist party, (as feared by Radio Persona Howard Stern).
I think overall Bernie won the debate, but Hilary won her goal of trying to convince her base that all the news about the FBI is simply tricks by the Republicans to diminish voters from heading to the polls to support her, because she is more electable than Bernie.
I felt Anderson Cooper did a good job in the debate, I always respected him as a interviewer. He tries hard to not appear bias, and treat each candidate the same.

I actually like AC (at least in terms of a moderator), he seems to do a fair job with the freakshow at hand. Bernie did well from a "debate" standard, I dont ever expect anything substantive out of these things, but he didnt come off as the "angry old man" like he did previously.
Maybe it's because I'm so used to Hilldawg and her shtick but she's so [BLEEP] phony, listening to her bumble over questions and repeat herself while saying nothing is kinda humorous at first...much like listening to Phil Simms for a quarter.

Funny stuff, but I think it's important to know how each person stands on certain topics in order to make an educated vote.
I will most likely not vote Democrat for President, but if it was a choice between Jeb Bush & Bernie Sanders I probably would vote for Bernie.
In fact as long as Hilary isn't the Democrat running, I might chose Bernie over a lot of the Republican candidates.

Bernie Sanders wants a single payer Health Care System, he wants to take money from the rich to give to the poor & Hilary is trying to stay far left with him on his topics. It isn't that far of a jump to communism based on his views on the country's economy and other stances.

it wasn't really a "debate", they got like a hour alone with AC and the crowd asked them (what I assume are preapproved) questions.

If I were a democrat and had a loaded gun to my head I would not vote for Clinton. The woman is a criminal under investigation for some serious stuff and the fact that people can overlook this is appalling to me. And this ain't her first rodeo in the investigative department. For democrats her husband may have been a good POTUS, but she is not her husband. And she has no interest in the betterment of this country, only what can be done for her.

I can't blame her too much for that one. Plenty of career politicians go from Washington to the traveling circuit, and those who held senior positions in government get paid a
ton of money to essentially deliver the same canned speech for a year straight, with only minor ad-libs here and there, maybe a Q&A section. I saw Colin Powell give speeches twice in one year, and it was basically the same speech, complete with the same joke about how going through airport security and crawling on board a regional jet is a little different than having his own personal 757 was.

the political agreement between Bill and Hillary should not be described as "marriage". They probably don't even live in same state, let alone sleep in the same bed.
