I didnt like the Yeldon pick but I was wrong on that one. Would rather have him than any RB in this year's draft except Elliot

I wished we could have waited a year for Elliott. We had a big hole at the position, so I thought, "The Jaguars need a RB a year too early." LOL

Good thing Yeldon has not been a disappointment though because we need to start the draft with a pass rusher anyway.
Where would you guys rank Yeldon if he were to come out in this RB class? I think Dave looked ahead again at this RB class and felt it was best to take one last year. Last years class was much better IMO

Ezekiel Elliott will be the first RB picked and go in the middle of Round 1, according to every single article I read about him. Obviously Dave Caldwell knew we could not wait a year for him to be eligible with a huge hole at RB.
Quote:What does that have to do with a running back?

uhhh.... BE RITE BACK
Quote:Jag fans hold onto to the slightest hopes. I can't blame anyone really, we have so few great players. Unfortunately Yeldon is not a great player either. I wrote he probably wouldn't last his rookie season and was roundly booed. True to form, he didn't last. His body is just not powerful and he gets hurt and it goes back to college. When not hurt he might have a 30 yard game or a 100 yard game. That is a Pretty average back. No our line wasn't good, but great backs don't get huge lanes anymore, they make their room. But bottom line it's a passing league, Yeldon isn't going to hurt us if he can stay healthy, a big IF, and perhaps he can develop more as a blocker to keep Blake from getting killed. He is just a suitable guy in a position that isn't as valued as it once was except holding a lead and running clock. Sorry Jag fans he will never ever see a pro bowl, or get 1500 yards, he isn't MJD so held in high esteem? By his mother perhaps. In the real world he is just an average player, which is ok.

You've consistently been hating on him since day one.

Banatha (hopefully that's not your last name) cant resist a Yeldon thread. Nobody thinks he's gonna be a top 5 back in this league. But if he can get me 1,000 yards a year plus his hands out of the back field, we will take it.

I laugh at you every time I see you post in a thread about Yeldon. By the way, What happened to your thread about Denard being just as good as Yeldon?

Banatha obviously decided to have low expectations for T.J. Yeldon when he was drafted and wants to have pride in being right. Either that or he thinks anyone not as good as Fred Taylor and MJD sucks.

Denard Robinson actually was pretty good the first time Yeldon got hurt. It was the second time when he had butterfingers, which is what concerns me.

I don't anticipate Robinson being back.

He is more likely to return than Gerhart, but I would not be surprised if we cut him.

Be honest. You just want Elliot because he went to OSU.

Ding ding ding

It's ok. One of her seven others teams will draft him. Just don't let Lacy eat him during OTAs.
Next year Dalvin Cook comes out. I'd love to have him.

He called Yeldon a potential top-10 RB who as a player is possibly better than Khalil Mack... high praise indeed. That said, take this with a grain of salt considering he says some are suggesting Mariota will be a "Aaron Rodgers" caliber signal caller.

His final clip is great... "one general manager that it is insanely stupid that Teddy Bridgewater was in the Pro Bowl."

If you really believe that, you know nothing about Elliott. Every draft analyst says the same thing about him: best RB prospect, lock for the first round, would have been a first rounder if he was eligible last year.

What would surprise you

Name four other NFL teams I root for in addition to the three I named.

I said I would NOT be surprised. Do you know how to read that word?

Obviously nothing regarding which running backs we cut in the offseason.
