Draft Myles Jack/Jaylon Smith in the first round, trade back into the first for Noah Spence. Cut Poz. Sign Malik Jackson. Move the defense to a base 3-4 with a starting front seven of:

Jackson-Miller-Odrick

Fowler-Jack/Smith-Smith-Spence

Let Wiz walk. Move Cann to center. Sign Osemele. Starting O-Line of:

Joeckel-Osemele-Cann-Linder-Parnell

Spence is going top 15.
Joeckel at LT? Yuck.
No...just no.

Vino, what gives you this idea we should completely change our defensive scheme from 4-3 to 3-4? It can't be done with the players we have. Gus Bradley and Todd Wash are not going anywhere.

That would be very nice but Gus isn't going to change to a 3-4. Spence is a guy who can go anywhere from 10th all the way to third round. You really don't know. Look at gregory, these guys fall sometimes.

Bradley and Wash are not switching their defensive scheme to a base 3-4.

Jaylon Smith is an elite LB prospect, but the bad knee injury at the Fiesta Bowl, requiring reconstruction, now puts a medical flag risk on him until the team's medical staff can evaluate him.  He likely will be continuing his rehab in 2016.  I don't think the Jags are willing to knowingly wait for their 1st round pick to play in 2017; next year is absolutely a must win season for Gus and his staff.

I agree.... early on they could use a pick on a guy and wait it out (although with Colvin they got him later, rather than 1st round)

I just don't see this team having the ability to use a 1st round pick on someone who may or may not be ready day 1.
They aren't moving to a 34.

The 3-4 has issues and you need a long term commitment with years of drafting.  We've never had the LBs to even remotely run a 3-4 defense.  You remember when we tried it?  Yeah they immediately stripped it back to a 4-3 base with cover 2 behind it.

I don't think we can scheme up with the players we have.  We need people that can win their position and let the talent rise up.

Radical and horrible kinda rhyme.....

Oh yes they are.
Marks?

OP is horrendous

I would take both Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith

Draft Spence at 5

I thought he was a late 1st/early 2nd - is he tearing it up at the Senior Bowl?

On the field he is, but mixed reports on how he is doing in the interviews. As of right now, I would say he is a mid-1st round pick.
I wouldn't hate drafting Jack and trading back into round one for Spence, though.  Telvin, Fowler, Jack and Spence is a nice nucleus to build upon on defense.

Looking at the draft trade value board, our 2nd and 3rd could get us back into the 1st (around the 20s). If Spence were there, I would seriously contemplate it.

Sign Weddle and Olivier Vernon, then draft Ramsey/Jack and Spence in the 1st, and hopefully get a healthy Fowler and Marks back. That's a good defense.
