Quote:Coughlin just don't wanna be the oldest fossil in the building. :woot:

Coughlin is older and Kiffin is gone. Both GOL and Coughlin get the job done like Donald Trump. Those New Yorkers don't beat around the bush.

George O'Leary is older by 14 days.

Fair enough. Stand corrected. I thought Tom was 72-73. No need to get your panties in a bunch.

Did his agent tell you the wrong age or was it his cousins "Hawkins"?

The guy either has a brain injury that causes him to lie constantly or he is just an average internet troll.
So we're consulting a guy who basically said his own QB wasn't a franchise QB

Where is this information online? Not on twitter to know if its there

Quote:No offense Caldrac, but those three QB's had very similar seasons early on to Blake's first few seasons (especially Manning and Roethlisberger). What's ironic is that you are willing to write Blake off in a jiffy for a QB who was no different than he was.

Be careful what you wish for because you might end up losing a Manning, Rivers, or Roethlisberger.

No disrespect Enigma. But those three quarterbacks won football games and didn't set their teams back. And I am not writing him off in a "jiffy". He's had 45 starts to show he's capable and so far he's shown the same rookie and mental mistakes he's always shown. He doesn't show any signs of progress.

Bortles through three years. 11 wins.

Manning through three years (only started 7 games his rookie season). 20 wins.

Rivers sat for two years so I'll give him some slack there but he went 14 -2 / 11 - 5 / 8 - 8 during his first three years.

Roethlisberger went 13-0 as a rookie. Didn't hurt his team. Only elevated it. 9-3 his second year.

I wish him nothing but the best. He'll have 2017 to prove his salt. If he can tone down the mistakes, which he's made a [BLEEP] TON of since day one. And they can somewhat manage a 7 - 9 or 8 - 8 record I think he's safe. That 58.8% completion percentage needs to get better....

More fake news; taking things out of context.

"Blake has all the things you're looking for in a quarterback as far as size and mental capacity to handle a lot of things," O'Leary said. "But that first year is tough because those guys are moving a lot faster than the college guys. ... Blake is going to be fine-tuned to what he needs to get done in the pro ranks. He's a quick study and a quick learner."
CHAMPIONSHIP

Quote:George O'Leary is an awful coach......

The only Head Coach of Notre Dame that can claim they never lost a game at the Program.
O'Leary must have dug up some ole pics of Blake

I'll tell you this. If Blake does fail - and I pray he won't - but if he does, I don't want to draft another 'project' QB.

No one thought to ask this clown for a link yet?

Y'all slippin'.
spacecoastjag, don't tout O'Leary's credits to the program without talking about how he left it.  His first year was 0-11 and while he had a flash here and there, it was mostly mediocre.  They had a huge jump when Bortles was their qb, and shortly after they were in the tank again.

He turned a team that won the Fiesta Bowl two seasons prior to an 0-12 finish.  He's mostly defined by a decent year to a losing year.  While his defenses were pretty good, his style of offense is pathetic.  It was the offense Jag fans learned to hate.

Run, Run, Pass, Punt.  Repeat.

Ahah good job NYC, game set & match.

There's also a quote of SCJ (among many other posts) in which he stated that Bortles refused an extension 2 years ago (when we couldn't even offer him one) but he refused it cause he wanted to go to a real market LOL.
Man, you guys are killing SpaceGhost here.

Your source is the UCF message boards.  Let's not act like you're in the know.
