Kevin Abosch sells photograph of potato for $1.5 million


The chips certainly aren't down for photographer Kevin Abosch.

He recently sold this photograph of a potato for £750,000 ($1.5 million). Really.

It should be noted that it's an organic spud, from the spiritual home of the potato, Ireland, so you'd expect it to be a bit pricier per kilogram than the dirt-cheap variety.

Why...?

I wonder if the buyer would be interested in also purchasing these pictures I took of him during his Vegas weekend. After all, we wouldn't want them to fall into the hands of someone who doesn't truly appreciate art. Ya know what I'm talking about?

So one guy paid 1.5 million for a picture I just saw for free clicking on a random internet link?


I need to meet this individual who makes such wise financial discions I think he might be interested in a double wide on a few acres as a retreat I'll give him a real good deal!
