I know Bruce Irvin is a guy that has been brought up a lot as a fit for us in free agency. Here's an article with him stating that he would take less money to stay in Seattle. Looks like he won't be available. Let's just hope this doesn't happen too much and that some top tier talent is available.

He'd be an upgrade for the Jags, but he's definitely not a top tier player. Most players are out for one thing - to make the most money they possibly can in their limited NFL career. Doubtful that you see many players giving a hometown discount.
He will either be in Seattle or Atlanta
He barely played this past Sunday - coach's decision. Feels like he's out of Seattle for sure
"I would definitely come back if they matched or if it was a little less. I would definitely come back to Seattle" -B. Irvin
He's indicating a desire to stay, and might give a small hometown discount to stay with the team. If someone were to give him a big offer, and Seattle did not match or come close, he'll leave.
I read yesterday that he will more than likely test free agency.
"Impending free agent SLB Bruce Irvin is expected to reach the open market.
The Seahawks declined to pick up Irvin's fifth-year option last spring, almost guaranteeing he would become a free agent this offseason. Irvin could hook back up with one of his former coordinators. Both Gus Bradley in Jacksonville and Dan Quinn in Atlanta are in need of pass rushing help. Irvin has 22 sacks in 58 career games." Jan 18 - 1:07 PM

I agree
he lied about taking less money. They all do
I don't understand why you guys wants him so bad. Fowler will be playing in the spot he would take next year.

Did you see our pass rush this past season? You can NEVER have too many pass rushers. I'm not saying Irvin's a great player or that we'll try to sign him, I'm just saying we need more than just Fowler next year or you can expect much of the same next year. We need Fowler + 1 more pass rusher at the very minimum.
From last year's roster, the Jags could replace Clemons, Branch, and Smith with pass rushers. Adding an active Fowler still leaves 2. Some have also advocated replacing Skuta at OTTO with more speed. As mentioned above, you really can't have too many pass rushers...and aside from Fowler, the Jag's cupboards are pretty bare.
