Carr over Bortles?


Please.

Carr was a first alternate.

How do we know if he didn't turn it down because of his thumb injury? If thats the case Then he didn't get Snubbed at all.

It would not be very smart of Bortles to go play a meaningless pro bowl game with a hand injury. If that makes people upset that's their problem.

Regardless of how many Jaguars play in it, the Pro Bowl is unwatchable.

Initial Probowl roster:

Brady (possible Superbowl)

Newton (possible Superbowl)

Palmer (possible Superbowl)

Rodgers (dropped out)

Roethlisberger (likely dropped out)

Wilson (?)


As an alternate, Dalton likely wouldn't play because injury.

Brees and Rivers? Idk about them.


Anyway, at least 4 or maybe 5 of the selected probowl QBs won't even be in it. Other alternates may not even go.


Seriously,, who in the [BAD WORD REMOVED] cares if a QB gets to go because he was good enough to be average (middle of the pack) in the league?! Pitiful.


We're going to end up watching guys like Carr, Fitz, Taylor, Ryan, etc...


What a freaking joke this thing has become.

 

We are going to be watching Bortles continue to get good reps with AR15 and pro bowl wide receivers.  With no defense being schemed he'll be lights out.  Think pre-season with infinitely more talent around him.

What's the record for most QB's dropping out? Did they ever get to, like, the 11th best starting QB in the conference? It gets pretty watered down.

07 had to have been close... Garrard got in after the usual SB prospects dropped out and quite a few people thought it was a joke he got in then, iirc.

Last year Dalton got in as the 7th alternate.

Garrard didn't get in in 07. He did for the 09 season along with Vince young and Matt Schaub.

Thank you, finally someone who understands where I've been going with all this negative lately towards the Jags. Truth be told, I never even followed this lousy franchise until certain players came here. And now, that those players will most likely adios amigos..........I can go back to supporting a team worth supporting. Cause it sure aint the Jags and it sure aint their wannabe "franchise QB". if this is your idea of a franchise quarterback, you have set the bar entirely too low. And with that..............I'm out!

We'll see if you are being truthful or not.

If Bortles somehow gets in, he should play. It's a non throwing hand injury in a game where he won't get touched. Plus it might earn him some respect that he already deserves
