This is another guy who I believe has to be a dark horse at 4, he's one of the best players and athletes in the draft and fills a position of need. He's dominant on tape and was dominate at the senior bowl, as a pass rusher, in pass coverage, and against the run. Reddick has the versatility to play mike backer on 1st and 2nd down and put his hand in the dirt to rush the passer on third downs, with the skills (explosion and bend) to actually effect and sack the QB. Rare player with a rare (and extremely valuable skill-set), a combination of Bruce Irvin and Bobby Wagner, albeit a little bit smaller than both. If the Jaguars sign Dontari Poe, you can probably rule out Solomon Thomas and Jon Allen, as is doesn't make sense to invest all of your valuable resources into one position. I think it becomes obvious thatline backer (Foster or Reddick), TE (OJ Howard) or QB will be the pick at 4, outside of a trade back. Anyways, what are your Reddick comps?

If Reuben Foster is a top 5 pick then why can't Reddick be a top 5-10 pick? He's as good (if not better) on tape, he's also a better athlete and brings legit pass rush juice. Just because he's not penciled into the top 5-10 by draftniks doesn't mean teams don't view him as a lottery pick. We'd be essentially adding an explosive freakish athlete to a position of need who can cover, stop the run, and get after the QB as a pass rusher. That skill-set is rare

Foster isn't a top 5 pick. I like Riddick's game but only if we trade back.
Lavonte David with more pass rush ability

Given that comparison, is he worthy of the 4th pick?

No not at all. Not even a top 10 pick.

Yea we value that versatility differently, a guy who can eliminate the run with speed, cover RB's and TE's, and rush the passer allows Todd Walsh to get ultra creative. I do agree it's tough to peg his value because there aren't too many players like him in the league, maybe Jamie Collins, but I think Reddick offers more pass rush juice than Collins.
I'm as big a Reddick fan as there is, at least I used to think that way, but him at 4 is just waste. I can't see him going in the Top Ten so why not try and recoup some value by trading back? I agree that he is going to be a dynamite player but the idea that there are only three better players than him in the draft? Nah bro.
