Interesting tweet by RapSheet:

A league official last night told me there is a real possibility Los Angeles relocation happens today. It's all moving in one direction.

All this uncertainty means only one thing, the Jags are moving to LA.

Quote:You're thinking of La Canfora that said we'd be in London by 2021.

Here's at least one of the tweets. https://twitter.com/jasonlacanfora/statu...4207548416
What made that so bad is he ignores NFL history and current NFL events to reach his conclusions.

Since the Raiders in the 1980s, every single NFL relocation has been based upon stadium issues.

The Raiders, Colts, Cardinals, Browns, Oilers and Rams all had reached stadium impasses in their various cities.

Those stadium issues all precipitated the moves.

Looking at current events, the Rams, Raiders and Chargers are all applying to relocate to Los Angeles.

Why?

Because all three have horrible stadium issues that are unable to be resolved in their current locales. In the cases of the Raiders and Chargers, that has been the case for over a decade.

Applying these facts to Jacksonville, Jacksonville has repeatedly approved stadium improvement measures proposed at various times by Jaguars ownership.

The city and Jaguars have continuously worked together to upgrade and renovate Jacksonville Municipal/Alltel/Everbank Field, from cup holders and escalators, to the video boards, to now the practice facilities.

No, the Jaguars are moving to Orlando. Or London. Maybe San Antonio or Oklahoma City. I hear Fairbanks wants a team.
Bulseye, that is the relocation policy: NFL teams must have unresolved stadium issues to move out. It is also worth noting most teams are able to get new stadiums locally, so something is wrong with the city and state if they have to move to get funding.

I understand that is part of the relocation policy. But that relocation policy was not always in effect. These issues existed prior to the relocation policy. Everyone has always had the Jaguars relocating not due to stadium issues, but due to ticket sales/attendance.

Which of the two sites would be more convenient to get to for the majority of people in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area?
D6,

For my personal situation, Inglewood would be the best. Definitely is the closest to my area.

I can see 2 sides for the LA area. Inglewood is closer to a lot more attractions and the Downtown area.

Carson might be better in terms of "congestion" in the city.

Meaning there is more traffic in Inglewood than Carson?

They're not too far apart, but yeah, Inglewood is closer to downtown LA, has LAX traffic to deal with, etc.

Of course 'LAX traffic" means visiting fans have a shorter route to the stadium.

Quote:How much sway the committee's recommendation has with the rest of ownership remains to be seen, although it is unusual for ownership to go against the recommendation of a committee.

The Los Angeles committee's recommendation is for the Carson project.

They seem to be looking for a joint proposal between the Rams and Chargers. This leaves Oakland high and dry.

Raiders and Chargers would go along with whatever the NFL recommends in terms of changing divisions should Carson get the 24 votes needed

It's going to be real interesting to see what Kroencke does if they vote down his Inglewood proposal. Could we have another Al Davis to LA situation?

I'm hoping this happens for added entertainment.

From everything he's said recently, it sounds like he just might. Though he may just be bluffing.

Obviously if this happens, two teams have to switch conferences. Which NFC West team would be willing to play against the Broncos, Chiefs, and either Raiders or Chargers twice a year?

Why not move the seahawks back. They were once in the old afc west, so they have history against those teams.

First round of votes was 20-12 in favor of Rans/TBD in Inglewood – short of the required 24. LA committee now meeting with Spanos and Davis.

Quote:Who's was that reporter that said we would be in LA by 2021? O Halloran or whatever his name is?

Yea, I think it's ok to call that one a miss.

Well...if a teams moves there, we would likely play there at some point...maybe that's what his crystal ball was telling him!!
