Quote:If Bosa is a bust and SF drafts Goff and he becomes a franchise QB then vice versa. Or even if Bosa and Goff both turn out to be studs then the Browns made a bad pick. If Bortles was a sure fire franchise QB the Texans or Rams would of taken him! Keep up JDub.
Wrong. The Rams did not want a quarterback. Clowney was supposed to be a sure-fire DE. I watched that draft.

sure fire franchise QB>sure fire franchise DE. Keep up JDub
I'd be very tempted to take Bosa, but I'd still lean Ramsey very slightly. They are virtually the same grade so you gotta go with the higher need.

I think FA will tell us which direction we go. I wouldn't count out VH3 as our pick. I will be happy with any of the 3.

No DB has every gone number 1 in the draft, and Ramsey is not some all world DB prospect, I dont even like the idea of going LT again but I would go Tunsil way before I go Ramsey number 1

Yes, FA will be telling.

First time for everything. Bosa is very good but also not an all world DL prospect either. Nor is Tunsil, and based on Joeckel being passable and LT not being nearly as important of a position as it used to be he would be a fireable offense pick.
It trade back. Maybe with the 9ers or someone who would want to jump ahead of the browns.
Quote:Bortles was a sure-fire future franchise QB. Nobody expected it to happen in his second season.
Of course if Goff is a bust and Bosa does what everyone expects, people are going to say the Browns were stupid to pick the QB.
No. Bortles was not a sure fire future franchise QB. He was a huge project and actually a big risk. Love the kid but he was not on Lucks level coming out. Luck was a sure fire franchise QB and sure fire is still pushing it.
Trying to think of an answer to this question made me realize how little I like this draft class. It reminds me a little of 2013.

This is my feeling as well. I think it's definitely more talented than that draft, but no sure fire top 5 picks. I'd like to see the Jags trade down and select Reggie Ragland.

I would love to see a trade down as well.
I'd still get Ramsey or Hargreaves.

The one thing I think this class has going for it over '13 is that it has players at impact positions. Remember, that draft had a freakin' Guard taken at seventh overall, and the first QB didn't come off of the board until #16. Not to mention that the one WR selected in the top 25 was considered to be a gimmick / luxury item in Tavon Austion. At least this class has some depth at QB and WR. Overall though, I feel you in that it is a bit underwhelming.

Yea this draft is def deeper then 2013, but this draft def doesnt have those 3 or 4 elite players like most drafts have and 2013 was the same way

Why would you want Ramsey at #1 overall?

Best safety prospect and we desperately need one?

So you would be ok with Hargreaves and not Ramsey at #1?
I'd take Bosa.
